Damian started to type and handed her the phone back.

'Now I know why TXS hired you. You have everything it takes to be a good attorney. And yes, you are right. I am here for something personal as well.'

He handed her the phone. She read and soon started to type.

'So, here to betray your brother-like boss, huh?'

'No, I would not call that betraying. I have some questions regarding something, and I need the answers.'

'So, what are they', she typed.

'Something related to the business only. You wouldn't know', he typed.

'Okay. But if that is not related to me, then why are you acting so kind to me? I might not even be any help.'

'I just want to help you. Just like you could read me, even I can tell that you are in a bad situation. I cannot betray Edwin sir for sure, but I can still provide you mental peace at least', he typed.

'Yeah, even that seems helpful. You know, you boosted my will to live within today. Thank you for that', she replied.

'You're welcome. I think you should sleep now. Your fitness coach will be here in an hour.'

'Hmm. Let's text later then.'

Helena turned around and closed her eyes to sleep. Damian walked out of her room into the balcony. He again leaned against the railing and began thinking.

'I don't know where to start. I don't know where to find the answers to my questions. And it feels like Helena does not know anything about it either. She already seems to be going through a lot, I cannot tell her about this situation. It might affect her and the baby's health and I cannot risk it. I think I need to do this on my own', he thought as he closed his eyes.

On the other hand, Helena stared into space as she dived into her thoughts.

'I need to do something. I don't think that Damian will let me run, as he is very loyal to Edwin. It will not be easy to run in his presence. I have very less time to come up with something. Once my pregnancy completes seven months, the risk will increase and my movement will most likely be impaired by the weight of my baby. I need to come up with something quick, as soon as possible.'

The rest of the day went on normally. Helena did her exercise with the coach, was fed nutritious meals, and had Damian for emotional support. Edwin came late at night.

"Hey, Bud. You did amazing for today, and now you are free to go home", he said with a smile as he patted on his shoulder.

"Thank you, Sir. Bye Ma'am", Damian waved his hand at Helena.

She waved back slightly. Damian left for his home. As soon as Damian left, Edwin turned to Helena, his eyes cold and asserting control.

"I hope you did not try anything funny in my absence", he said sternly as he came closer to her.

Helena looked down nervously and shook her head in a no.

"Hmm. That is good. Now, come here to me", he said as he spread his arms, gesturing for her to come close.

She gulped down fearfully and stood at her place.

"Helena", he called her name sternly, causing her to come closer.

He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer, till their bodies were touching. He pulled her scrunchie, causing her straight hair to loosen and fall on her shoulders.

"Don't tie your hair so tightly. Your head will hurt", he whispered in a gentle tone, as he ran his fingers down her straight hair.

She just looked down silently, not reacting at all to his touch.

"How were my babies today", he asked softly as he kissed her forehead tenderly.

She just stood silent. She was too overwhelmed with everything. Edwin's presence had started to make her feel emotions other than fear. She was starting to feel helpless. And that helplessness was causing her to feel frustrated. It was making her feel angry at herself for not having control over the situation. She felt caged once again, but this time, the situation was worse. She did not notice that she had zoned out as she kept forcing herself to think of a way out.

He cupped her cheeks and kissed her nose.

"To earth, Helena", he said calmly, but she did not move an inch.

"Helena", he said in a stern tone this time, making her snap out of her thoughts.

She looked at him with nervous and fearful eyes.

"I think I asked you something", he said in a low and dangerous tone.

"W-what?"

"God, are you seriously going to zone out all the time for such a small thing? I think I asked you to move on from your idiot dead boyfriend, didn't I", he said as he lashed out at her.

A vein was popping out of his forehead as his jaw was clenched. The thought of having his wife lament about some other man was driving his patience to the edge. Deep down, he knew what he did was bad, but he was far from acknowledging his mistake. His obsession for Helena was taking a vicious turn, and yet he could not do anything about it other than falling deeper into his emotions, letting the chains of obsession entangle his mind to the end. He could see tears filling in her eyes. He could notice her lips quiver as she was trying her best not to aggravate his anger by sobbing. He could even notice the slight trembling sensation that her body was emanating out of fear. But, his anger was way too much to react to her fear. All he wanted was for her to move on and forgive him. He wanted to erase those memories from her brain, but he knew that was not possible until he gave a sharp blow to her head. And that was certainly not what he wanted.

"Helena, listen to me carefully. Am I beating you?"

Helena just slightly shook her head in a no.

"No, right? So why am I getting this cold shoulder from you, hmm? And it is not like I forced you to marry me. You were the one who proposed right? Can't you just forget about this one mistake", he said as he tried to keep his tone as calm as possible.

She looked down nervously, as the sound of a low sniffle came out of her.

"Helena, look at me", he said as he gently cupped her chin, causing her to look into his eyes.

"I will not harm you or our baby okay? Not now, not ever. But for that, I need you to forget this one thing."

She just looked away silently.

"So, do you promise that?"

'I do not want to lie to you, Edwin. I will never be able to forgive this, let alone forget. But maybe if I tell you that right now, you will get more bodyguards to ensure that I do not escape. So, maybe I will have to lie this time, and maybe many more times, because this will be the foundation of my escape.'
