They reached Nandini's house. Nandini gripped the car handle tightly, eager to get out, but her dupatta was stuck in it. Manik noticed and, in his attempt to free it, came close to Nandini. Their eyes met, and Manik moved closer to her lips.

Nandini, feeling nervous, whispered, 'Manik' in a scared voice. This brought Manik back to his senses, and he freed her stole. Nandini got out of the car, looking at Manik, wanting to thank him. Manik, noticing her gaze, asked, 'Hey, do you wanna say something?' Nandini shook her head and said no. Manik smiled, reversed his car, and drove home. Nandini watched him leave.
Author's Pov: While driving, Manik smiled as he reminisced about the moment in the car when their eyes met, and he leaned closer to Nandini, causing her nervousness. His chain of thoughts was broken when Cabir screamed his name.
Manik: What happened? Why are you screaming?
Cabir: Because you don't listen to me at once. I've been saying for so long to stop the car; we've reached home! But you aren't listening. Where are you lost?
Manik: Sorry.
Manik stops the car, and both he and Cabir went inside their house.
The screen shifts to Nandini's house. Nandini entered her house, lost in her thoughts, and went straight to her room, avoiding her sister, Navya, who followed her. Navya shook Nandini and asked, 'How was college?' Nandini nodded and replied, 'It was fine.' Navya then asked, 'Did anyone trouble you?' Nandini reassured her, 'No sister, I'm fine. I'm just very tired and want to sleep.' Navya nodded, gave her some medicine, and left the room.
Nandini's POV: For the first time, I'm not feeling scared or having any panic attacks after what happened in college. How am I so relaxed? This guy, Manik... he's my savior. If it hadn't been for him, today... my respect would have been... (tears up). Nandini wipes her tears. But why did he save me? I mean, I've heard that he's the most popular guy in college and he bullies almost everyone. So why did he save me? What's the reason behind it? Nandini closes her eyes, smiling unknowingly as she thinks about her moment with Manik. She blushes a bit and drifts off to sleep, thoughts of Manik still lingering in her mind.

Manik's Pov: Manik was sitting in his room, pondering about Nandini. This girl, Nandini, she's really traumatized. What could have happened to her? Why was she so scared? I need to find out as soon as possible. But for that, I'll need to stay close to Nandini. But how?
There was a knock on Manik's door.
Manik: It's open!
Cabir entered, sat on the bed, and asked, 'Is everything okay with you?'
Manik: Yes, but why do you ask?
Cabir: Because I've never seen this side of you with anyone. Yes, you're soft from the inside, but you never show it. Today, when you met this girl, your soft side was evident. How and why? Do you have a soft spot for her?
Manik: Cabir, it's nothing like that. It's just that this girl... I can see the fear on her face. It's as if she's been deeply traumatized, so scared.
Cabir: Why do you care?
Manik: I don't know, but right now, I just want to know why she's like this. What must have happened to her, I must find out.
Cabir: So, what have you thought?
Manik: I'll have to stay close to her to find out.
Cabir: But how?
Manik: I have an idea.
The plan was muted.
Cabir: Not bad! But will it work? What if the plan backfires?
Manik: It won't happen, trust me.
Cabir nods and gives him a smile, saying, 'I should be leaving now. Goodnight!'
Manik: Goodnight.
Cabir leaves the room, and Manik drifts off to sleep, thoughts of Nandini still on his mind.

~It's not necessary that people who present themselves as bad are truly bad. Sometimes, those who appear tough on the outside are actually soft-hearted inside. Similarly, individuals who portray themselves as good may harbor darkness within.
