Nandini goes inside the college and is about to fall, but Manik catches her just in time.
They both are lost in each other’s eyes, looking emotionally at one another. Suddenly, Nandini feels pain in her arm and says, “Ouch,” making Manik come back to his senses.

Manik: Nandini… umm… I think you need some dressing on your wound, otherwise the pain can worsen.
Nandini: I’m fine… there’s no need for this. (pauses)
Manik: I won’t hear a word. We will go to the medical room—no ifs and buts. Come with me.

Manik holds Nandini’s hand, but she says, “Manik, it’s paining… please don’t.”
Manik: Fine, I won’t touch your hand, but…
Nandini: But what?

Manik picks her up in his arms.
Nandini is shocked.
Manik: What happened? Now is it fine?
Nandini looks away. Manik smiles.

They both go to the medical room, while Manik looks at Nandini lovingly. Nandini glances at him emotionally, but as soon as he sees her looking at him, she looks down.
Manik: Ms. Nandini Murthy, you don’t need anyone’s permission to look at me.
Nandini: I… I wasn’t looking at you. I was just thinking about something.
Manik: Like what?

Nandini plays with her fingers.
Manik: Nandini, do you know that when you lie, you get caught easily?
Nandini: What do you mean?
Manik: When you play with your fingers like this, it means two things—either you are very nervous or you are lying. And in this case, I think you lied to me first, then became nervous. Am I right, or am I? (huskily)
Nandini: Manik, we have… rea… reached… put me down!

Manik gives her a smile.

On the other side
Alya is looking for Nandini and is calling her. Cabir is tying his shoelaces. As soon as Cabir gets up, he collides with Alya, and she is about to fall, but he holds her hand.

Alya: Thank you!
Cabir gives her a smile.

Alya: You’re Manik’s friend, right?
Cabir: Not just a friend! I’m like his brother.
Alya: Umm… have you seen Nandini? Actually, I’ve been trying to call her, but she isn’t picking up the phone.
Cabir: She’s with Manik. Actually, some goons attacked her, but Manik came in time and saved her. I guess they must have gone to the medical room.
Alya: I should go and check.
Cabir: No… please don’t. I mean, leave them alone for a while. How about going to the canteen?
Alya: Okay!

On Manik and Nandini’s side

Manik: Why is there no one in this medical room? Ouch…
Nandini: What happened, Manik?
Manik: Nothing!
Nandini: Put me down first!

Manik puts her down.

Nandini: Where does it hurt?
Manik: It’s nothing, Nandini. I just had a fight, that’s why it’s hurting… nothing else.
Nandini: Are you telling me, or should I call Cabir?
Manik: Okay, fine! At the back.

Nandini touches his upper back and asks, “Here?”
Manik: A little down.
Nandini: Here?
Manik: A little more.

Nandini touches the middle part of his back, and Manik screams.
