"I, Shiwa Fei will become the King of Hysteryia!" I stated while my blonde hair got caught in the wind and as I was waving my "sword" around.
It was just a stick I found while exploring the nearby forest with my friend, Lewind. It was ironic that I spouted that nonsense in front of the prince of Hysteryia.
"No, I will!" He said, hitting his stick with mine.
Lewind was a pretty cool guy, though he was pretty shy and conserved, due to his background, he was always surrounded by people. It was like I was the only guy that treated him differently while the others kept him on the pedestal.
I still remember our first encounter with me, of course, being a dumbass.
"Hey, you're the prince of Hystery, right!?" I loudly and annoyingly asked as I pointed my finger toward him. I could already feel the stares on me, the disrespect that I was getting in their thoughts.
Yet, this guy was different. While everybody avoided me since I was too rowdy and messy, he accepted me and acted that way too with me.
He smiled and smugly grinned "Heh, yeah! So?" As he crossed his arms. He was never like this to anybody other than me.
"I challenge you to a duel!"
"Bring it on!"It ended up with me being horribly beaten up and being cared for by our maids.
She sighed as she rubbed salt water through my skin, every bit of it stinging on my wounds.
"This is why you should be more careful! What if you got hurt even worse than this? Or the king HIMSELF tore our family apart? You're lucky your father is on good terms with the Hystery family." She scolded me, even her actions told me to pipe down, her grip tightening on my wrists.
"Okay..." I pouted as I stopped bleeding. "Lisa...are you going to stay with me forever?"
The maid's expression softened, her tied up brunette hair slowly getting undone due to her hair tie being old and worn out. "Of course, Master Shiwa. Just. . .don't get in trouble too much, mkay?" Lisa pat my head and ruffled my hair as I chuckled.
"Okay!"
A week later, after my wounds got a bit better, I confronted Lewind again.
"Hey!" I shouted behind him.
"What?" He turned back.
I was shaking, not from nervousness, but from excitement.
"You won last time, but I'm gonna get stronger, for sure!" I stated as I pointed at him. I really had a thing for pointing at people back then.
Lewind tilted his head as he looked at me for a good second, then it seemed like he thought of a new idea.
"Wanna come over and see where I train?" He offered.
The insult I took to that suggestion was immense, but the curiosity on where he can be so powerful outweighed the annoyance.
I scoffed and turned my head to the sighed, crossing my arms. "Fine." I said as I began to follow him.
He took me to his house which, of course, was humongous. Through the halls, I could see the paintings done through each member of the family, including Lewind.
When we arrived at the training grounds, there was already a person there, presumably waiting for Lewind. He looked like a built 40 year old, with white streaks going down his brunette hair.
"Oh, brought a friend?" The old man said as he took a good look at me. The hairs on my body rose as I immediately stopped, my heartbeat rose as I started to sweat profusely. Yet, I still felt a tinge of excitement as I looked back at him.
