The water drops making the silence ever so louder as we stood a meter apart, my knees to the ground, it was obvious, he wasn't him anymore. I couldn't make out the face, yet it felt like I could paint them in a clear picture. There was a faint, unintelligible voice in the distance, yet it felt so close. My mind was muddled, it felt like I had only one feeling, and every feeling at the same time. I could only make out a few words, but this was the only one I heard clearly.

"You are sentenced to be enslaved to guard these tablets until they are destroyed, or until you are killed."

Then, I woke up.

"What was that?" I asked myself, immediately forgetting what had happened, as people do with their dreams.

The morning had gone regularly, too regularly, in fact. It was unsettling, something will go wrong later, I just know it. But what if, just what if, I was overthinking? Please, let it be that I was overthinking.

It was useless to dwell over that thought, and I just pushed on through the day until it was the festivities of a New King.

"Hey there, buddy." I said as I pat Lewind's back, the guards gave me a sharp glare, but Lewind waved them off.

"Ah, hello Shiwa. So, how do I look? New cape and all," He asked while his cape was riding the wind, his smirk fabulous as ever.

He always flexed his new stuff, being the former prince and all. Made me want to sucker punch him every time, but I'd probably also do that if I were a prince. But more often than not, he's humble with his abundancy.

I punched him lightly on the shoulder, chuckling as I snatched a piece of ham covered in honey from the table, gulfing it down my throat. "Oh, shut up. You still look as privileged as ever, pri- ahem, King."

"I'm still getting used to that title. Do you want me to bestow you your knight hood or something?" Lewind joked, lightly punching me back.

"Oh shut up, I'm not even a knight." I chuckled.

A few hours passed by and after Lewind's coronation speech, the festivities were coming to a more calm point. I was drunk and I went over to Lewind with his wife. He was nursing his baby, slowly rocking the little thing. I personally never thought babies were cute, but I guess in my drunken stupor, I thought it was a cat or something.

"Heya, Lewind, and Mrs." I bowed down to each.

They both nodded in greeting.
"Is that your baby?" I asked, pointing at the sleeping baby in Lewind's arms. "Cute lil' thing. What's his name?"

"Ah, we haven't decided yet. It's...it's still an ongoing procedure, you know?" Lewind chuckled, looking at his baby fondly.

It was rare I see him be so genuinely...happy. I felt proud for him. I walked up to him and asked for the baby, he gave a reluctant look to his woman, then she nodded. He handed the baby over to me...

"How the...hell do I hold this thing? Supposedly I can't dangle this by its legs, can I?" I asked, positioning my arms under the baby. It was...weirdly calm. No crying or anything.

"No, dumbass, you have to support his neck, and then his legs...there we go." Lewind helped me carry the baby, it was a real dude moment, to be honest. But the baby still weirded me out, it was still sleeping even after such a rough hand-over.

After a while, it was the middle of the night and I was wandering the streets of Hystery, stumbling around with food in hand. (The bread was moldy.)

Until I heard some voices in the alley beside me. One of them sounded like Lewind. I peeked around the corner, a glowing green naked man was sitting on top of a garbage heap, I thought some hallucination magic was on me, until I saw Lewind talking to him. They looked as if they had heard something and turned my direction, but in the nick of time, I hid behind the wall.
