I arrived at my house. It was burning to a crisp, luckily the rest of my family and the maids got out safely.
I walked up to the gates, until my father put a hand on my shoulder, stopping me from going any further.
"Don't go in. There are no more lives worth saving in that house, everyone important is out here now."
I slowly turned my head, and I glared at him.
"Then why are you not inside the burning house?"
He looked at me with shock, and a mix of irritation...no, more anger, than irritation. I flicked his hand away from my shoulder and I went into the flames.
All the hairs from my legs and arms burned away, I couldn't risk freezing the house. I resorted to a better option and surrounded myself in frost. But where was Lisa?
I checked everywhere, the bathroom, under the tables, cabinets, rooms, but I couldn't find her. I tried checking her room but she wasn't there either. The only place left to check was my own room. And to my surprise, there she was hiding under the bed.
"Lisa!" I flipped the bed over, revealing her hiding, arms over the back of her head. "You're okay now, take my arm."
"Master Shiwa? What are you doing here...? I thought you went out with the king?" She asked, holding my wrist.
"You're more important than that sick son of a bitch." I smiled.
"You know that's illegal to say, right?"
"I'm already a war criminal, anyway." I said before freezing the entire house, stopping every inch of a flame.
It sparkled, it glittered and it was cold, obviously. Lisa had a hard time maintaining balance, it was kind of goofy. But I had no time to dilly-dally like a child with my frozen house. I needed to go back to that demon and ask him what happened.
I rushed back to the castle, searching for "Lewind". I opened the door to the throne room.
"Come out! How did you know my house was on fire?"
No response.
"I'm not going to repeat myself, Demon! Show yourself!"
Again, no response.
I was about to yell again until I heard a voice behind me.
"Calm down, the king is not here yet. Might as well enjoy a talk with an old friend of yours, no?" A guy randomly walked out behind one of the pillars, dragging a body across the floor.
He looked like a Beastman, a wolf variant, maybe. But my focus was on the body, he looked familiar...
"Who is that? Who are you?" I cautiously asked. I was in a battle stance already, I definitely did not like this guys vibes.
He grabbed the hair of the body, and made him face me.
It was Roger.
"Be a bit gentler with my hair, damn it. I'm already bald enough." Roger smiled at me, like he was reassuring me everything was gonna be okay.
"Roger! Why does he have you tied up?" I asked, trying to rush over to him, but the Beastman blocked me.
"Whoa, calm down. Too excited to meet old pals?" The Beastman chuckled and grinned smugly. I wanted to punch him.
"Get out of my way," I commanded.
"Or what?" The Beastman leaned forward, on level with my head now.
"Or I'm gonna punch a hole between your eyes." I was about to throw a punch at this dudes face, but a rope suddenly prevented me from doing so, tying my wrists together. It was magic.
