Miliani made a face when she walked into the library to find her father and Rose kissing.

"Gross. Get a room," she joked trying to lighten up the mood. Her father pulled away and gave her an unimpressed look.

"We had the room until you came in."

She brought fists up to her face and made the crying motion with them. "Don't you have somewhere to be?" She snarked sitting down on the armchair.

"Soon," he mumbled, pulling the shirt down to look at the wound. Miliani wanted to throw up at the sight of it. It was angry, red, and had puss coming out of it. Not to mention it's spread down her back.

Rose sighed. "How is it?" She asked unable to see it.

Damon and Miliani shared a look. "Definitely...better. Right, Elena?"

Elena had walked into the room, a look of shock on her face. She quickly masked it as Rose turned to look at her.

Elena forced a smile. "Um, it's not bad."

"Where's Stefan?"

"He left. I need you to talk to him. He's convinced that he has to find Isobel but I think that's gonna upset Elijah," she said, eyeing Miliani who nodded in confirmation.

Damon shook his head. "No, can do. I'm with Stefan on this one but if you could play nurse for a little while..." he said trailing off.

"It's not necessary," Rose insisted.

"Dad, don't be with Uncle Stefan on this one," Miliani groaned, knowing that it was just going to cause more issues.

Damon ignored her just this one time. And when it goes wrong, she'll rub it in his face. "It is necessary. Elena is a do-gooder. It's in her nature, she just can't resist. Miliani you stay here with them too," he said pressing a kiss to his daughter's head before leaving.

The three of them made their way upstairs, Elena putting Rose in the bed as Miliani sat in the recliner with a book in hand.

Rose groaned. "I hate this. I'm a vampire, I haven't had a cold in five centuries," she complained. Miliani snorted at the irony.

"Just get in bed."

"We don't get sick. When we die, it's fast and sudden and it's certainly not drawn out in illness," Rose complained, as if she had already accepted her fate.

"You're not gonna die."

"Such a human thing to say."

Miliani was barely able to crack her book open. Of course, the one time she actually tries to read, people are being annoying.

"You've never been in Damon's room before, have you?" Rose asked. Miliani flicked her gaze up to see Elena holding her father's copy of Gone with the Wind.
