Cute Guys And Their Lies - New Friends Much?"You need to change." Drew's face remained expressionless throughout his words.
"What? Why?" Honestly, I couldn't see anything wrong with it. He was taking me to meet some of his friends. I thought a pair of demin cutoffs and a Pink VS shirt would be okay.
"It'll be.. cold." Was his reasoning.
I didn't argue, I just went to go change into something a little bit warmer. Even though it's May. Well, I guess at night (which it is right now) it'll be a lot cooler, so short shorts wouldn't exactly be that great of a clothing choice. As we were driving, my mind kept drifting off to where we might be going since Drew dropped no hints as to where we were going.
Carnival? No, I don't think Drew is the carnival game playing type. I laughed just thinking about him paying a bearded lady for a picture.
Movies? No, my shorts would've been fine in a movie theatre.
A club? It wouldn't surprise me if Drew pulls out a fake ID.
Dinner? That's.. to couple-y. And we're definitely not a couple.
I thought of more ideas, but they all seemed unrealistic.
I zoned back as soon as the car stopped. I quickly looked around, but saw nothing. I got an uneasy feeling in my stomach.
"Drew...?"
"It's fine Ava. I didn't bring you here to kill you or anything." He laughed at my creeped out face. It was dark and in the middle of nowhere. I didn't respond, still looking outside trying to see where we were. "My friends are.. different."
I looked back at him, unsure of where this was going. He gave me a lopsided smile. "But they're cool, I promise."
---"Blaze!" Drew yelled out in the middle of the crowd.
The crowd seemed to ignore him until I noticed a really cute girl turn around. Her hair reminded me of fire, it was so red.
Her face lit up the second she saw Drew and she fought against the crowd to run back to us. She immediately jumped on him, wrapping her legs around his waist.
For some odd reason, I felt a little jealous.
It wasn't like Drew asked me on a date here. I was just curious as to who he hung out with all the time. And then he invited me to meet his friends.
"Drew!" She squeezed him before pulling back and kissing him firm on the lips.
My mouth dropped open in shock before I realized what I was doing and looked away, my blood boiling. Well, that wasn't expected. Couldn't I have gotten a little warning first?
I looked around awkwardly, looking at all the cars. I'm pretty sure we were at a car show or some kind of street racing event, because there were some pretty amazing cars here.
Personally, I don't know a single thing about cars other than the fact that get me from point A to point B safely and in one piece. But I'm positive these weren't every day, never-been-washed cars I see on the street. These were tricked out with all kinds of designs and colors.
I was eyeing a gorgeous green Camaro when I looked up to see a guy staring at me. He was leaning on the car and looked extremely yummy while doing so. I quickly looked away, not wanting to be a creeper or anything.
"Blaze, this is Ava. My.. friend." I turned around to see Blaze and Drew no longer in lip lock, but rather holding hands.
Blaze held up her other hand. "Blaze." She introduced herself.
