Hero Work Or Something
Even though it was a school night, you had no qualms about sneaking out to find some degenerates to beat up.
You, Mitch, and Courtney planned on going out as a trio tonight since you crafted a new pair of goggles with the old ones that would display a video screen of the two. The tutorial book mentioned that you could make physical holograms and that the new goggles were one of the requirements to do so. It didn't explain much further than that, though, which was a pain in the ass.
You snuck out of the house to the park that night; it was basically your go-to starting spot for patrol since it was close by and fairly inconspicuous. You also figured you should start changing into your here, again to be less conspicuous. Once you had finished changing, you perched on top of the Nest and pulled your goggles over your eyes. Shortly after, a ping caught your attention, followed by your friends' faces popping up.
Mitch had seemingly followed your lead, dawning a cosplay from a previous con the three of you attended. It was simple enough. It was based on Cyberpunk, and given his role as "the guy in the chair" it fit pretty well. It looked like it was just a plain white T-shirt and a black coat with Japanese lettering on the breast and the sleeves, and a pair of green circular sunglasses rested on his head. He also wore customized arm sleeves that made both of his arms look like futuristic prosthetics. From what you remember, the rest of the outfit should just be a pair of baggy pants and a pair of customized Jordans that match the arm sleeves.
He likely wouldn't see any fighting action except through a screen, but he was content with that. He just wanted to dress up and be included. Fuckin theatre kid.
On the other hand, Courtney went all out and made an entirely new costume based on Assassin's Creed. Funnily enough, it also fit her since she was a wizard at Judo (and the sole person you learned the techniques from) and with a dagger. Fake ones, anyway. Her new costume consisted of an off-white, hooded cloak, a red sash, and brown knee-high boots. On her arms, she had two leather wrist covers, one of which housed a hidden blade. On top of the cloak, she had a matching leather shoulder guard and a strap that ran across her chest for an arrow holder. The cloak hid her face well, and if Mitch wasn't also in your vision you would've had a hard time guessing who she was.
"Hey guys," you greeted with a smile.
"Hello!"
"Hey, (N/n)!"
"Ready to beat up some degenerates?" You teasingly asked. You already knew their answer."
"Let's fucking go!!!"
"I'm always ready!"
"Then let's get started." You pulled up another screen, this one showing the cameras you and Mitch had previously hacked. "Techie?"
"Already looking at the cameras," He replied.
You chuckled, "Ok, so then Zero-"
"Already leveling you up," She interrupted.
"Ooookay, cool. Damn, it's like you guys don't even need me," you joked.
They both casually protested, knowing that you weren't being serious.
"It looks like there's some suspicious activity near the Raisins, wanna check it out?"
"Camera?"
