A/N: Like most of these poems, this was written in my creative writing class. It's also about a certain someone but we won't be naming names... AND ONCE AGAIN UGH I WISH THE FORMATTING WOULD WORK CORRECTLY ON WATTPAD. Anyways, enjoy!!

(free verse)

Recycled plastic is all you are
Yet you’re covered in a fresh coat of glittery gold
Is this your way of hiding from what’s really inside?
- A lump of coal; a lump of coal can warm a home
But you have to keep on replacing it as it burns into foul smoke
I told you I thought you were beautiful,
But now that I’ve unwrapped your disguise,
I know all you are is a pretty face and a box of lies
You’re smothered in fool’s gold
Oh, I’m such a fool for fool’s gold.
