Gloria and I walk over the front of Professor Magnolia's house where Hop is waiting for us in front of the Champion and who I'm assuming is Professor Magnolia, who are in deep conversation. "It's the Professor!" Hop whisper yells confirming my assumption. Professor Magnolia notices us "Dear me, I'm sorry. I didn't even notice my guests!" She walks over to us playing with her glasses chain "My name is Magnolia. Welcome, young trainers! Now come, let's head indoors." The three of us and Leon follow the professor into her house.
"Why, Hop dear. I see Wooloo has made some new friends." She turns to Gloria and me. "You must be Gloria, Hops childhood friend, and Edward, from the Unova region. I trust all three of you have received a Pokédex from Sonia. I look forward to learning of your catches." She says as she then turns her head to Leon "You all know about Dynamaxing right? Professor Magnolia has been researching the Dynamax phenomenon for years and years. It takes a proper understanding of it if you want to use it to the fullest!"
"There you go again, Leon, always talking about Pokémon. There are other things worth knowing about, too, you know. Like how many different types of tea there are!" The old professor scolds.Hop puts his hands behind his head and does a cute determined grin. Reshiram would say he's cute! "Hey, Professor, do us a favor, would you? Help me convince Lee he should endorse me and Gloria for the Gym Challenge!" He says cockily. "Say please" I whisper in Hops ear making him a bit flustered. "Please?" He says with his cute Lillipup eyes.
Magnolia turns to Leon "Oh, Leon, why wouldn't you endorse them?" She asks confused. "Hop and Gloria only just started out as Pokémon Trainers... There's still loads they don't know yet!" Leon explains. "Dearie, I thought your dream was to have everyone in Galar become strong Trainers. Isn't that right?" Magnolia suggests. "Well, yeah you're not wrong." Leon tilts his head and rubs his chin. "What kinda example does it set if the Champion's dream isn't accomplished by the folks closest to him?" Gloria manipulates mischievously. Leon stops rubbing his chin and turns to Hop and Gloria "Right, then. In that case... how about this? Let's see if the two of you can show me such a brilliant battle that I'm left with no choice but to you" Leon proposes. Hop turns to Gloria "Right I'll be waiting outside, Gloria!" Hop practically runs out of Magnolia's house Leon following. Gloria shakes her head and walks out too.
I turn to Professor Magnolia "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet these nice people" I smile at her and walk out of the house wanting to watch the battle that will take place.
