A few hours later...
The moving truck stops and after a few seconds the back opens. I jump out, Hatenna in my arms "Finally free!" I stretch my arms out and I look at the house we'll be staying at. I walk over to my mom and ask "Is this the town where Aunt Melonie and my cousins live?" she looks at the surrounding buildings as if reminiscing on old times "Hello?" I wave my hand in front of her face. She snaps out of it and says "oh- uh- Yes this is where your father grew up... you know his sister's son is a gym leader and she used to be one too!" "What are their affinities?" I question "Melony uses ice types while Gordie uses rock types" Usually affinities are passed down in some way whether that be sharing weaknesses or general way of using them so they're affinities make sense.
"I know you have an affinity with fairy types but what was dad's affinity ?" I question clearly interesting why I have an affinity with psychic types. "He had a water type affinity, funnily enough he had a Jellicent as his partner which were first found in Unova" I nod listening to her and then I see Aunt Melony running at us holding her hands out for a hug "Stephanie! Ed! You're finally here, I've been waiting for you all day!" She proceeds to bear hug me and my mom.
"I thought you said Gordie was going to come greet us too, where is he?" My mom question my Aunt "Oh, he's busy at the gym right now, the gym challenge is coming up in a week after all" she explains as if I have any idea what that is. "Gym challenge?" I question "Galar actually has a word for going out on a journey and getting gym badges" my mom answers "Could I do that?" I turn to Aunt Melony "Where would I sign up for the Gym Challenge?" I question as I have no idea how the gym challenge works. "You have to get endorsed by someone and lucky for you I can endorse you" Aunt Melonie says proudly "You'd really do that for me?!" I ask excitedly "Yes, but don't think you'll have a chance of getting past my Gordie's gym" she challenges me fiercely with eyes that do not match that of an ice type user. "Now would you come to my house for a cuppa?"
A Few Hours Later...
"I think the moving Machamp are done" my mom says looking out the window. "Finally! I think they were slower than the Conkeldurr back in Unova, and they don't even have four arms!" I get up putting Hatenna on my head and then walking over to our new house.
I open the door and walk around looking at the house and then walking upstairs into my room. I look around the room for a second putting things where I want them to go.
After a while I sit on the bed and ask Hatenna "Do you want to look around Circhester?" Hatenna immediately responds with a "Ten-ten!" I put hatenna in my arms and then walk down the stairs and out of the house.
