Pokémon Affinity

"What" I say as I open the door outside. Gloria is about to answer when a guy shoves a potion in our hands and tells us the basic knowledge of healing a Pokemon. When he walks away "I already knew that" I look at Gloria "Who doesn't?" She says back waving her hand. "Anyway, what I was saying Hop is my childhood best friend and Leon's little brother" I listen intently "I have a question" I say like a little kindergartener would. "What?" She says bluntly "Do you like him" I say back bluntly "Ew, no, I don't like guys" her face contorts "Imagine not liking guys couldn't be me" I chuckle as Gloria's face twists in confusion "Oh! I got it, if I find guys that might be cute I will tell you" she pats my back "I will do the same but with girls" we nod together in agreement and people start to look weirdly at us.

 We start walking again and Gloria goes over to hop. Shit. He's cuter in person. "Hop, I got a new rival for you!" She says as she gestures to me "Hi, I'm Edward, I have a psychic affinity" I say slightly nervously. "I'm Hop, the future champion!" He says smugly and I chuckle "Whatever you say, Hop, What's your affinity?" I ask the usual ice breaker question "Normal" he says as he sends out his Wooloo. "You're so cute!" I pet Hop's Wooloo. 

Though I wasn't just talking to Wooloo when I said that...

"Well, now that we've all got our Pokédex app we need to go and get some Pokemon to fill up our teams!" Hop says raring to go. "But in case your Pokémon ever needs to get healed, especially after a battle with a trainer, the Pokémon Center is the place to go! Luckier yet, they're dead easy to spot they look the same everywhere big and red like a Delibird! Let's go inside!" He pretty much runs into the Pokémon center. 

When he's in there I say "A hot guy and you didn't say anything" Gloria gasps in surprise "Hop!? Really? He's attractive to you?" She says disappointed "He's like an excited little Lillipup!" I chuckle and then we walk inside so Hop won't get suspicious. "Alright first things first! You talk to Nurse Joy in the front when you went your Pokemon healed, you go to the machine to the left of nurse joy to access your pc since you can only have six Pokemon at a time and on the right of nurse Joy a guy sells things to you and buys things from you" then a guy in the Pokémon center says "Since you're Pokemon trainers you might want to stock up on potions" Hop folds his arms with a cute cheeky smile i almost faint from saying "Cheers! But I'm already stocked up enough, alright Gloria and Edward I'm going to Route 2 I'll see you later!" and with that he's gone. "Do you need to get anything Gloria?" I ask "Nah, I think I'm ready to go" 

We walk out of the Pokémon center and walk around the corner to see Hop waiting for us. We walk over to him "Listen, Gloria and Edward. I've been thinking, since we're all Pokemon trainer's why don't we do the gym challenge? You know the annual competition where trainers battle it out for a chance to fight the champion. But the thing is we have to get endorsed" he says sighing. "I already got an endorsement" I say bluntly

 "What!? How?" Hop says confused "Gordie is my cousin and Melonie is my Aunt" I say smug that I got endorsed before Hop. "Am I the only one not related to a famous Pokémon trainer!?" Gloria yells in a rage I chuckle at the funny interaction. "I'm guessing you want Leon to endorse you?" I ask through my laughter "Yes but he doesn't think I'm enough so we've got to get the professor to help out, and you have to help too Ed!" He demands "alright, alright, I'll help, let's go now"

We walk to Route 2 while Hop pretty much runs. "Alright, Galar friends! It's time we filled our teams wi-" Hop gets cut off by the over eccentric Leon scaring us "And I'm here to teach you how! You need to fill up your party if you have any chance of being a good Pokemon trainer" he says as I catch my breath from the scare "Lee?! Where did you come from" and I continue with "and why in Keldeo's name did you feel the need to scare us!?"  I sigh 

He ignores us "Every Pokémon has got a or two, which can make it good against some opponents but poor against others. That's the reason you'll want to catch Pokémon to try to cover one another's weaknesses even though it may be hard with your affinity restricting you to only have pokemon that have a specific type. Now, let's all have a champion time as I show you how it's done!" He says really excited but is cut off when Hop says "Lee, we know how to catch Pokémon" Leon sighs and says "then have a champion time with 20 poké balls for each of you!" Leon gives us the 20 poke balls and then runs away.

"Do you think these sell more since they were given to us by the champion?" I ask trying to see if I could make a profit on these "I've tried it doesn't work" Hop chuckles putting the poké ball's away. I give them the poké balls Leon gave me "these are no longer of use to me, let's catch the both of you some Pokemon" I say as I already checked the route with my Pokédex and there are none with my affinity.
