Bern looked at the huge and terrifying-looking golems.  The biggest golem had fallen because Choi Han destroyed the core of the golem with his aura.  The terrifying liquid continued to spill, emitting a terrifying sound, and also colored Choi Han's sword as if it wanted to swallow it, making Choi Han stiff because of the enormous power of despair.

Mary made the wyvern bone come down when she got Raon's signal and Cale got on it with the others.

Bern stared at the golem for a few seconds and climbed atop the bone wyvern as well as they moved away from the imperial base after disrupting their people's trust in the Empire with the appearance of Saint Jack and the truth about the liquid of despair.

However in the end Adin used his glib tongue to confuse the real truth.

"Everyone retreat!"

Cale shouted as he raised his hands to the sky.  The voice of the fire of destruction kept telling him to purify the evil thing.  That liquid was so evil that it was worse than dead mana.

Bern looked at the sky that had turned black with cloudy clouds filled with nature's power and looked at everyone who was retreating with Cale's orders.

Rumble... Rumble...

The sky rumbled as if something big was going to come down and hit the earth.

- Basen, can I do as I please this time?

If Bern wanted to step in, he had to receive approval from the owner of the body he was currently using.

Ghost Basen smiled at that.  Bern's feelings are currently so mixed that he can't understand them, but he will always support Bern's choice.  Bern also always thought about Basen's condition when he wanted to do something.

Bern rarely wants to run wild like this.  Basen also had no reason to reject Bern's wishes.

- Run as wild as you like.

?

Cale was confused when Bern held his hand.

"You can force me to eat garlic later."

The existence of the golem exists because he failed to eradicate the enemy at its roots until this terrible research was continued.  He failed to become a good magic tower master.  Everything was his fault.

Even though he tried his best to be one...

Bern looked at the Whipper kingdom soldiers who were shivering at the sight of all those huge golems.

This was a battle for the land he swore with his life, would protect no matter what happened in front of all his people, as well as King Zyon.  It wasn't appropriate to let Cale who didn't even have any involvement in this continue to fight too hard.

Bern had seen that power of the lightning before.  Cale coughed up blood every time he used it.

He didn't need Cale to cough up more blood for the land he was obligated to protect.

He wasn't dead yet, so the obligation still lay with him.  In the end, the Whipper Kingdom was still his homeland, just as Cale loved the land of the Roan Kingdom.

"So please, just this once, let me go."

Bern understood why Cale refused him to come forward.  He didn't want himself to die in the process.  Of course, his soul state was very weak right now because of that bastard.  But that doesn't mean he can't fight.

"You have to save the Jungle, so you can't faint."

There was only one reason Cale would abandon the plan he had made so detailed.  It must be that an ally was attacked.
