Blood painted the walls red, illuminated with each flash of lightning, like a neon sign flickering ominously in the storm. The air was thick with the metallic scent, mingling with the earthy aroma of rain-soaked soil from outside. Your once warm hands were cold now, your lifeless eyes staring into his soul, accusing him without words. What had he done? Why?
He believed it was the right thing to do. The only way to keep you grounded, close to him, and away from the terrible, soulless world. You had left him a while ago, but his love for you never wavered.
No one else could love you like he did. He was certain of that.
He had always been different, his power twisted and dangerous. It surged within him like a relentless force, an ever-present reminder of the lengths he would go to keep what he desired close, no matter the cost.
He could bring you back, but then again, you would run. Till death do us part, he mused, contemplating the eternal dance of life and death that bound you both together.
