for context bottom to top; Shade and Shine call Dream father and Nightmare pa mostly but they do sometimes switch it up with Dream as pa and Nightmare as father - it depends on the situation. also, after Dream got the first aid kit for Shade he grounded his son for a week for swearing (blame Cross). as for HOW Shade got hurt...he was making a salad and cut his palm.
for the middle, it's just typical sibling snarking. also, Shade and Shine ARE Taurus canonically! since their canonical birthday is May 2nd which falls within the Taurus time-frame of April 20-May 20.
as for the top quote, sarcasm runs hard through the whole interconnected found family. Error mostly picked up the habit from Cross and Nightmare but it's gotten worse from hanging out with the other "uncles".
