Chapter 9 - Don't Leave me

Alex woke earlier than his siblings and cleaned himself up. Before he could head out the door two voices called after him.

"Wait for me Alx," Thisbe pleaded.

"Hey you called me Alex! Well almost. You used to call me Ax. Your words are getting better," Alex said ruffling her hair playfully.

"Me too, Alx, please?" Fifer asked?

He turned to see her struggling to get out of her PJs.

"Course I'll wait girls, do you need a little help with that?"

Fifer nodded "please?"

"I don't, I do it myself" Thisbe said.

Fifer scoffed at Thisbe as Alex helped her into a little yellow dress she picked out. While they waited for Thisbe, Alex tried replicate Sky's half up, hairstyle on Fifer. Fifer preened herself in the mirror, loving the new hairstyle. The well equipped room supplied some matching yellow hair clips and bows which she clipped on. Thisbe had successfully gotten into her red dress independently. Alex replicated the same hairstyle on his sister. This time the plentiful red hair ornaments in the room caught Alex's eye and he clipped a few on.

"I look pretty!" Thisbe said satisfied

"Me too! Me too!" Fifer chimed.

"Yes you both look absolutely stunning!" Alex confirmed, " Now, let's go get breakfast, and if our snoring brother is not up by then, we will wake him up with a bucket of cold water, Artime style," Alex winked.

They giggled mischievously and followed their brother out the door.

On the way to the kitchen they were stopped by Crow, and Florence. "Alex, we are ready to leave, were the girls okay?" Crow asked, embracing the twins.

"They got up to a little mischief last night, but they are absolutely gems, didn't ask for you once, so I guess you are good to go." The twins smiled sheepishly when Alex mentioned their shenanigans from last night.

"Great, I can watch them if you want see the group of to Warbler Alex" Florence offered. Alex nodded his thanks.

"Alright, bye girls I will be back in 3 days, until then stick with your brothers, and stay out of trouble okay? Have fun!" Crow exclaimed.

Alex watched as Copper, Scarlet, and Crow jumped on Spike. He didn't see Sky, did she change her mind? Was she not going to leave him? Maybe she was just joking when she said she wanted to go? With Alex's confused look Copper said, " Sky is eating breakfast, and some warblereans still have to arrive then we can set off."

A depressed Alex nodded politely. He had a quick talk with Sky after she arrived then watched swim into the horizon, with Spike's horn glinting in the water ever now and then.

In the kitchen Fifer sat, devouring a toast with Huckleberry Jam. When Alex entered, still saddened by Sky's departure he smiled at the site. "Hey Fife, where is your sister?"

"She with big bother Ay-on" Fifer said inbetween her snack.

Alex chuckled at how she called Aaron a 'big bother' instead of big brother by accident. "Well what are you doing here alone? Shouldn't you be with them?"

Fifer thought about it, then softly spoke.

"They play together, hard games, I don't like it. But, they no listen to me. So I go to find you Alx! Then I get hungry..... so I eat first, then find you."
