Chapter VII

"I, Horus, speak on behalf of the heavens."
The man started speaking, introducing himself to the gods that were spectating the trial.

"I am the son of Osiris, god of life and the previous king of Egypt. I stand here today in order to reclaim the lost sovereignty of my father, Osiris." As he said that, you wondered what face Seth was making underneath his mask when listening to what Horus was saying. He was without a doubt definitely angry or annoyed. By all means you understood why he would feel this way, you also hated Osiris. Even though he's probably never met or seen you, which is something you are grateful for, you know what kind of person he is and what he did.

Suddenly you heard someone beside you stifling a chuckle. This brought you out of your thoughts as you looked over at the person and could see Ra who had bent down in her chair, looking to be on the verge of laughter. You sighed in what felt to be relief at the sight, worried that it was going to be some random crazy event that happened before the shouting of someone caught your attention.

"Shut your mouth!! There's no doubt that Horus is Osiris' son! I filled the Nile river with Osiris' spirit while he was still alive. That's how I was able to resurrect him!" You could see the sight of Isis, who looked to be triggered by whatever that had been said. The two other gods that were sitting beside her, Hathor, god of beauty and love with Bastet, god of fertility and abundance were both trying to calm her down from escalating the situation further.

This situation seemed much more familiar the more you looked at it. Sure you've read everything but there were some parts that stuck to you because of reasons you didn't know. Maybe it was the introduction of a new character or the fighting, you didn't know.

"If you're so suspicious then call Khnum here and ask him yourself!" At this point you could see that what looked to be a light red colour was starting to form around Isis's face. Although only you seemed to notice. And that was when you caught a glance of Seth's face and the smile he always had on was wiped gone and in its place was a frown.

But as soon as you noticed the frown it quickly vanished into a smile. "My, you think resurrecting someone is easy?"

And suddenly, the loud sound of a boom was made with clouds of sand and dust formed around where Isis was standing. When it all cleared you could see the sight of Seth bent over to face Isis who had sat back on her chair before the sudden attack. He had part of her wig in his hand, holding it to keep her from moving.

This caused everyone to stand up, including you and Ra, most of them were screaming at Seth to stop what he was doing.

You couldn't hear what he was saying to her but you also tried to stop what Seth was doing. Even though Isis herself was also not a good person you still chose to help her because it did look painful and everyone else looked to not be taking any action other than screaming.

Sneaking in closer, the voices of the others grew louder and you were able to hear parts of the conversation. But you mostly ignored it and instead focused on lunging in and tackling Seth away from Isis.

Suddenly a man, seeming to come from nowhere, appeared in front of you, causing you to abruptly stop in your tracks.
"Then let me accompany you."
