A tan brown hand lightly ran through [h/c] hair as a mischievous smile curled on Ra’s face as she saw the childlike joy on your face as you thanked her for the manuscripts she had just gifted you.

“Thanks a lot for these scripts! I’m definitely looking forward to reading these when I get back!” A jovial smile spread across your face as you held multiple scrolls of scriptures that she had just gifted to you.

It had been awhile since you’ve got to read any books and you weren’t sure if such a thing like books have yet to exist and seeing how there doesn’t seem to be much overseas trading it only reinforced the thought.

A small chuckle of amusement escaped from her. You really were her greatest piece of entertainment. And she was going to make sure that the entertainment never ends.

“You don’t have to thank me for something like this. If you ever want or need something, or maybe just more manuscripts of mine to read, don’t be scared to ask me, Khonsu.”

———

You stood beside Ra’s figure, which easily towered over yours, her arm wrapped around your shoulder as she had a smug smirk on her face.

Earlier, Ra had swiftly dodged the large waters of the Nile with you in hold making sure you didn’t get caught in the wave.

And now the both of you were standing beside all the other gods on the sidelines, watching as Maat announced the winner of the first event.

“The winner of the first trial had been decided.”

She looked down at the scroll held in both of her hands.

“The winner of the first trial is; Seth, the God of War and the Desert.”

At the announcement of him winning, Seth started laughing hysterically as he boldly and confidently stated that he would never be defeated.

———

“You shouldn’t have done that. You’re probably going to get into trouble with Ra.”

Reprimanding the red haired man in front of you, your hand hovered over his burnt one and slowly healed it.

Recently, your healing ability has improved greatly and now you were able to heal others which you were planning too soon to use on your still fractured wings.  But currently you weren’t able to do that because of Seth who was sitting in front of you in your temple.

Earlier, you were planning on visiting Nephthys as it’s been some time since you’ve  last visited her until he showed up at your temple just as you were about to leave.

“Why should I be so concerned about a god who can only see what goes on in the daytime? And by any means, it’s just a burn.”

Seth had just gotten into a feud with Hathor, the god of love and beauty. She’d burnt his hand, according to him after he tried snatching, in his words; ‘an old and worthless mirror’.

You only sighed in response as you went back to healing the burn marks. A small and foggy [f/c] cloud emitted from your hand to his as it began the slow healing process.

“Hey, how long is this going to even take?”

“I think a few minutes or so, if I’m not wrong. But you still have to take me to your temple later.”

A grumble of disappointment sounded from Seth, likely because of the time it would take to heal his hand, as he mumbled out a ‘whatever’.

———

Slowly braiding the blonde god’s hair, your hand brushed through her hair as what looked to be a flower slowly blossomed out of your hand which you quickly plucked out and tied it into the braid.

You had wanted to try out the new skill you learnt recently so you decided to use it when visiting Nephthys. The flower was an artificial life form you had created, it wasn’t actually a living organism. It was more similar to that of the fake plastic flowers that used to be placed by your windowsill when you were in the hospital in your past life.

“Can you stop moving for a bit? I’m almost done.”

You remarked as you took notice of how the god was trembling as she sat with her back facing you, her knees hugged against her chest.

Sighing as you finish braiding her hair into a braided ponytail, you slowly remove your hands from her hair as you looked over at her.

“It’s been sometime since I’ve last visited you, hasn’t it? I’ve been pretty busy recently so I’m sorry if that has upset you.” You apologised as you changed your seating position from kneeling to a side sitting position.

During the time you were kept in captivity in Seth’s temple and the few rare moments you had been left alone to your own free time, you’d visit Nephthys in her prison. The both of you would get along though it was mainly her just listening to your mindless ramblings and complaining. However every time she saw you she’d seemed to smile and looked to be more comfortable around your presence.

However, recently you haven’t been able to visit her because of current events in the story and the fact that Heliopolis is far away.

Slowly turning towards you, both yours and Nephyths’s gazes met and a small smile formed on her face. “It’s okay.. You don’t have to apologise for something like that, I’m just happy you’re visiting again.” You were able to see that her eyes looked to be slightly puffy as if she’d been crying.

Quickly coming to a conclusion as to why, you simply sighed as you went back to talking. “You talked with him earlier, Anubis, didn’t you?”
