The time on the clock at the metro station which Hailey just arrived at after college read 4:17 pm.
She had to get home, to an apartment she rented along with 2 other girls, before 6 pm as they had planned a girls night out.

Here goes nothing I guess.
So how do I go about searching apartments and universities? you may ask.
Well it's pretty simple actually.
I go upto the front office and say I'm looking for my boyfriend, Jake as I show them pics of us together and explain that we were separated and I'm looking for him now.
And I ask them if there's anyone as I describe and show in that particular place.
I know its weird, I feel like an absolute psychopath myself doing all this but bear with me, I'm desperate here.
And guess what? No luck in this apartment either.
*sigh*
Honestly these days I've been sighing so much I do it more than I actually talk to be honest.
I walk back to my apartment building and get onto the elevator to the 11th floor, that's where I live.
Door number 1142, 11th floor of J&H Alliance Residency, but everyone just calls it J-H-A-R.
I go to my apartment door and unlock it to find that the girls are still getting ready.
Tch, typical of them.
I laugh.

"Hey girls", Hailey says as she puts her bags down in the room.
"Hey Hailey", they both say back.
"So, how was it?", Kacy asks.
"How was what?", Hailey asks confused as she opens her wardrobe to pick out something to wear.
"Y'know, your life mission? Jake?", Kacy teases her laughing.
"He's not my 'life mission' ", she rolls her eyes as she does air quotes with her fingers.
"But, no luck on my latest finding either. Another apartment to cross off", she sighs yet again.
"Girl get a grip of yourself. Tonight is all about us got it? No boys you've spent 3 years chasing allowed in your head, got it?", Janice smirks.
"Alright, alright. I won't, atleast I'll try not to", Hailey says unsure.
"We're gonna enjoy ourself after the long week we've all had! THE PARTY'S CALLING ME!", Kacy squeals.
The trio soon get all dressed to enjoy themselves for the night and leave in a cab off to the party site.
The party was actually hosted by Lia.
Yes Lia, but she's not here for Jake, not at all actually.
It was her dream to study in New York ever since she was like 15 years old and she worked hard to get into one of the best universities in NYC.
She didn't even know Jake was also there until Hailey had told her.

Hailey accidentally bumps into Lia 1 year ago, who was living in one of the apartments she searched for Jake in.
She was coming out of the apartment while Hailey was enquiring about Jake and they saw each other.
They got coffee and talk about what's happened in their life the past 2 years.
