Ch 18: First date⚘🌹

The whole day was filled with excitement, for the entire squad.
Who wouldn't? They were going to be doing a real performance soon!

After college, Jake and Hailey were going in the car, on their first proper date, and they both were looking forward to it.

"C'mon Jake, tell me where we're going", Hailey laughed.

"I already said, it's a surprise!", Jake winked at her.

Jake was the one who was driving instead of a chauffeur, as he wanted to make this memorable.

They soon arrived at an alley way decorated with fairy lights and beautiful decor through the path.

(its cliché ikik but I'm a sucker for such scenes😭)

"It's so pretty!", Hailey beamed as Jake led her out of the car.

"It's only going to get better princess, and nothing is more pretty than you", he said and kissed her.

Hailey blushed a bright shade of red and they both laughed.

The trail led up to a cute restaurant which sat on a sort of hill.

Inside it, were stairs that led to a rooftop candlelight dinner where almost the whole city of New York could be viewed.

Hailey's eyes glittered at the sight of the beautiful scene in front of her and she was stunned.

Jake then walked forward and pulled out a chair for her to sit.

She stared at him in awe, he was worth every little to big struggle she had faced up until now.

She had made the right decision of fighting for him.
She had won in life.

She blushed and smiled before getting seated and watched him sit across her.

His mind were filled with thoughts of only the girl who sat before him, the love of his life, whom he couldn't live without.

She had struggled so much for so long, just for him and he wanted to put in atleast half that effort to make things right, and most importantly, see her beautiful smile.

Both wondered how things would've been if they had turned out differently, what if they had admitted to their feelings three years ago?

And endless chain of possibilities rolled through their heads, but no matter what, they were soulmates.

And they were bound to find each other, even if they were put at different ends of the world.

After dinner together, they just stand in each other's arms watching the view as Hailey rests her head on Jake's shoulders and his head on hers.

Jake then drives her back to her apartment after it gets late.

"Goodnight princess, sleep tight and sweet dreams", he kissed her and winked.

"Goodnight my prince, you too", she winked back as she got out of the car, which left him a little stunned, at the nickname.

I go up to my apartment, my heart still squirming and my stomach still filled with butterflies as I lean against the door after entering it.
