[Italics- thoughts]

I'm inside a cab right now, going home.

I have my airpods on, listening to music to calm myself down a bit.

Music always makes be feel better.

I look outside the window, thinking of everything that has happened in my life...

My life has really been a serious roller-coaster, and to be honest, I've become a much better person because of it all.

I've come to understand things in a mature way and take decisions appropriately, well maybe except coming all the way to New York in search for Jake, I guess that was pretty stupid and immature of me, especially now that he loves someone else.

But, I'm not letting my emotions get the better of me now..

I've got to make a mature decision right now.

《Lia's pov》

At the party

After making sure that everything about the food was settled down, I decide to go hang out with Hailey and her friends.

Hailey did tell me they were having a girls night out and said I was welcome to go join them.

I look all around the party but I couldn't find Hailey anywhere.

I even went outside the party hall and checked around the hotel, but no luck.

Where could this girl have gone?

As I come back into the party hall again, I see her friends running towards me.

"Lia! Is Hailey with you??", Janice yells.

What? She's not with them either??

"No! I was just looking all over for her", I tell them.

"Oh my God, where is that girl? Do you think something bad happened to her??", Kacy freaked out.

"Nono! I'm sure she's fine, did nobody get a text from her?", I ask.

They both shook their heads.

"Have you tried calling her?", I ask again.

"Duh, ofcourse we tried that, the line just kept going!", Janice says anxiously.

Okay, I was starting to get worried now...
What if something really did happen?

"Oh uh, I'll try again, let's not jump to conclusions!", I say trying to smile.

I take out my phone and call her and wait patiently.

"The number you have dialed is currently switched off"
The voice says.

"I-it's switched off", I say panicking.

"Do you think she went home?", Kacy asked.

"We all agreed to have a girls night, she wouldn't, right?", Janice asks.

"Maybe something happened or came up that she had to go home?", I say.

"Without telling us? I don't think so, but I don't know, maybe she did", Kacy looks down.

"Why don't you guys go home and check if she's there?", I suggest.

"Okay then, let's go", Kacy says

"We'll be back, let us know if you do see her here", Janice tells me as they both leave the party.
