A few weeks later finals was coming up and everyone was practicing like usual until you stormed into the gym in a completely bad mood, everyone looked at you before shrugging

You stood there on the sidelines watching practice like always but you were really just standing there, your mind was occupied, you didn't know how long you were standing there and thinking but you felt a set of hands on your shoulders

You quickly turned around to see Ushijima standing there, he had his stoic expression but it was softer, he was concerned about whatever that had you in an off mood

"I'll tell you after practice" you patted the back of his hand that was on his shoulder before he nodded and got back to practice

You didn't know if you wanted to tell him, finals is coming up and you didn't want anything on his mind that wasn't volleyball, he needed to focus and you were just throwing more issues at him, sure these issues concern him but it's most likely just a scare that's it

As practice finished you grabbed Ushijima's bag, if you were gonna tell him terrible news you might as well do something small for him

You waited for him by the gym door as he walked towards you he gave you a serious look, he must've really wanted to know what you were gonna tell him

I took a deep breath before I turned to him "can I tell you later, I just don't know how to tell you where it doesn't ruin your whole day"

"Alright, tell me after the afternoon practice" he grabbed his bag from you

"No it's fine I can carry that" you said before he fully took it from you

"I can carry my own stuff, I wouldn't want to be giving off the wrong idea" he walked slightly ahead of you as if he was in a bad mood. What happened to him? You were gonna figure it out

You sat next to him in class and turned to him "what happened, what's up with the mood you're having?" You were concerned because he was almost never in a mood like this

"It doesn't matter, it's nothing" he sat back in him seat with his arms crossed, he didn't even look at you, was it something you did or said?

Throughout all day Ushijima was ignoring you until lunch came around, you had your issues to think about then you had to figure out what was going on with Ushijima, maybe this would've been worse if you told him your big news this morning

At lunch you walked right up to Ushijima with your arms crossed "outside, right now" you were so frustrated with him and it was visibly obvious

"Or what" he raised one of his eyebrows as he ate his food, what the hell was his issue

You took a deep breath, you weren't gonna yell at him that's the last thing you wanted to do "I'm being serious, I feel like we need to talk this out"

"Talk what out? What's there to talk about?" Was he beating around the bush? What the hell happened this morning?

"Are you seriously gonna play stupid?" You asked before you sighed "you know what? Ok, you have fun I'll see you later" you smiled at him before you stormed out of the cafeteria to your dorm building, you didn't want to see him again today, you were gonna stay in your dorm the rest of the day

You went to the bathroom to notice blood all over your panties, thank God you were in your period, your period was a few weeks late, that's what you needed to tell Ushijima earlier today, your period was late

You just sighed as you thought about Ushijima, you didn't know what his issue was. You went to wash your hands till you remembered an email you got last week, the water was being shut off today for the dorm building to fix the pipes, you got a water bottle and splashed it on your hands before getting soap as you tried washing your hands as best as you could

You didn't go to the afternoon practice, you were allowed to miss a day if it meant not having an outburst in the middle of it

You stood outside Tendou and Ushijima's dorm pacing up and down the hallway waiting for them to come back from practice, you wanted to know what Ushijima's issue was

An hour later you saw Tendou walking down the hallway with Ushijima behind him, Tendou looked a bit confused at you being at there dorm and Ushijima just rolled his eyes

"What's up? Do you need something?" Tendou asked as he unlocked his dorm

"Yah two things, the water is shut off in my dorms so I was thinking maybe i can change out here for a little bit and I need to talk to Ushijima" you said as Tendou invited you inside, you walked to the bathroom and washed your hands before you turned to Ushijima

"Can we talk, please?" You asked, you were tired of the back and forth you just wanted to know what his issue was

He pinched his nose bridge before sighing "yah" he simply replied

"We should probably take it outside, I don't wanna bother Tendou" you suggested

"Nah it's fine, you two can fight in here, it's better than tv" Tendou said as he sat on the couch watching you two

"Ok" you said before sighing "what's your problem Ushijima, everything was all fine yesterday, what suddenly changed? Is it something i did?"

"No" he was quietly before pausing his sentence a little "it's just people have been talking"

"They always do, what's different this time?" You were now even more confused

"I heard a few people say that you just boss me around and that I always listen to you and that your the dominant one in the relationship" he said the last part a bit quietly

"Yah because it's true" you said even more confused now "I mean I don't really boss you around that much, and the last part isn't too much of a lie unless it's a romantic setting" she sighed "does it bother you that much that people say that kind of stuff? They're just slightly true rumors"

"That's the thing, there true" Ushijima got a bit louder

"Is there anything you want me to do about it? I don't really see the issue but I can understand where you're coming from" you looked up at him before he looked at the ground

"Just, don't give me hickeys in visible places, and can I for once walk in front of you" he said quietly, he was obviously embarrassed by his requests

"Yah of course, you just had to ask"
