The weekend finally came around as you got dressed to go visit your parents, you visited them every other weekend but this visit was different, your parents were finally gonna meet Ushijima. This was a big thing since you've never introduced a boyfriend to them before

You stood In front of your mirror looking at the dress you were wearing, it was a little bit above the knee and floral, it was pretty but you wanted to make sure you looked good, you heard a sigh from behind you

Ushijima was sitting on your bed wearing a nice button up and dress pants. He was waiting for you to finally be satisfied with what you were wearing, he's been sitting there for half an hour watching you change your clothes and criticize yourself, he got off of your bed and stood behind you. He wrapped his arms around your waist "you look fine, stop worrying so much" he leaned his head down to kiss your neck

You sighed "thanks, I just want to make sure everything's perfect, I've never introduced anyone to my parents, I want to make sure they like you" you leaned your head back against his chest

"I don't know why they wouldn't like me, you have nothing to worry about" Ushijima reassured even if he did sound full of himself. I pulled away from him and sighed

"You're right, let's go" I smiled at him before I opened my dorm door

After a nerve wracking bus ride of you worrying what your parents would think of ushijima you both were eventually at your parents house, you took a deep breath before knocking on the front door

After a few seconds your dad answered the front door, he looked at you then Ushijima "it's great to see you again, dear" your dad said to you as you walked inside with Ushijima following behind you. As your dad shut the front door Ushijima introduced himself

"I'm Wakatoshi Ushijima, it's great to finally meet you sir" Ushijima held his hand out for your dad to shake, your dad looked Ushijima up and down before he shook your boyfriends hand

"Great to finally meet one of y/n's boyfriends, you seem like a real solid guy" your dad seemed to like Ushijima so far it made you smile, you then hard someone gasp behind you

"Why didn't you tell us you were gonna bring your boyfriend, and such a handsome one at that" your mom giggled, you gave her a blank stare

"Ma'am I'm Wakatoshi Ushijima, it's good to meet you, y/n says great things about you both" he held his hand out for your mom to shake and she did, immediately

"She's never introduced us to her boyfriends before, you must be a special one, how long have you two been together" your mom asked curiously to Ushijima

"Wow it's so great to see you too mom, I missed you" you said under your breath "we've been together for a little over a year"

Your parents were shocked by this "why didn't you introduce him sooner?" Your mom asked

"I didn't know what you both would think, clearly I was worrying for nothing" you chuckled a little. Your mom was about to say something when your dad cut her off

"Well now that there here why don't you start on dinner, honey" your dad said before your mom walked into the kitchen

"Sorry about my wife, she gets excited about meeting new people" your dad sighed before he walked into the living room "come take a seat and tell me a little about yourself" you sat on the couch with Ushijima following in suit

"Well sir, I'm on our school's volleyball team, your daughter is an amazing team manager though, she's really the heart of the team" he paused his sentence to clear his throat before he continued to speak "I'm actually one of the top three aces in the country which I guess really shows you how passionate I am about volleyball"
