"What kind of dessert do you like?"

It was an early Saturday morning. Stevie usually liked to sleep in on weekends, however, she started twisting and turning in her bed at sunrise. After a couple more dates, she invited Lindsey for dinner. They joked that they'd have their second date at home, but Stevie wanted to get to know him a little better first.

After paying for some fresh vegetables, Stevie pulled her phone out to read Lindsey's text. "No way, you're not making dessert!"

"Why not? I want to show you that I'm more than just a pretty face."

"I don't want you to spend the whole day in the kitchen. You'll fall asleep as soon as I get there."

Stevie smiled, thinking of how to respond. "I guess, I'll just get us some strawberries and whipped cream then." Satisfied with her reply, Stevie put her phone back in her bag.

With her shopping done, Stevie was on her way back to her apartment. She still had several hours before Lindsey was supposed to show up, but she also had a lot to do. He suggested ordering something instead, but just like he wanted to impress her on their first date, she wanted to do the same tonight. It took her some time to clean up her place, though, she considered herself lucky that she lived in a rather small space. As she dusted and mopped the floor, she wondered what Lindsey's apartment looked like. They had to meet at his the next time.

"Should I dress up?"

Stevie took a short break to respond. "Well, if you have no shame about walking around naked in the street..."

They had entered a new phase of their developing... friendship, relationship? More often than not, their messages started getting flirty, while in person they were on their best behavior. Yes, Lindsey admitted to wanting to kiss her the very first time they saw each other, but they didn't and it hadn't been brought up once again since.

"You'd love that, wouldn't you? Should I put a bow on it or something?"

Stevie couldn't hold in her laughter, her cheeks got slightly warmer, she was biting her lip. "Whatever, I just want you to come." She knew exactly what she was doing.

Three more hours to go. Stevie wanted to get the majority of the prep for dinner done before she showered. She put on music to keep her company and rolled up her sleeves, entering the kitchen. Good thing Lindsey wasn't picky. She wasn't completely useless in the kitchen, but she was no chef either.

Last thing on Stevie's to-do list was making herself look pretty. Once she got out of the shower, her hair wrapped in a towel, she went to pick out what to wear. After all, they weren't going out, so she didn't want to do too much. Deciding on a black long flowy skirt and a plain white top, she laid her clothes out on the bed. It was a simple choice, she hoped it would let him know that she was comfortable around him. Even though Lindsey had already seen her without any makeup, she still chose to do it. At home or not, it was a date.

Stevie was fully ready and waiting for Lindsey to arrive. She had suggested for them to meet earlier, but he said, he had some things to take care of, so he could come only at around 8 pm. Stevie used her nervous energy to walk around her apartment, she wanted to make sure she hadn't somehow missed a pile of dirty laundry sitting on the floor in the bathroom.

The doorbell rang and Stevie had to take a couple deep breaths before she went to answer the door. Lindsey was leaning against the wall, his hands stuck in his jeans pockets, a leather jacket on his back and one corner of his mouth turned slightly upwards. Her heart fluttered at the sight of him. Possibly, not just her heart.

"You-" Lindsey pointed a finger at Stevie. "... are naughty."
