"Ughh, we still have half an hour left before closing." Stacey, a younger girl whom Stevie was tasked with teaching, groaned after checking the time.

"You can go home early if you have plans or something." Stevie said, tipping her head towards the entrance to the store. "I doubt anyone's walking in."

"No." Stacey declined, she smiled. "But thanks. I don't want to get fired, I haven't even been here a week yet."

No more than 5 minutes passed when the door opened, briefly letting the noise of the outside in, which caught Stevie and Stacey's attention. Stevie chuckled lowly, seeing Stacey's face lit up as she jumped to her feet.

"I'll take care of him."

"Not so fast." Stevie shook her head, reaching for Stacey's hand to pull her back. "I'll take care of him. He's too old for you anyway." She added, walking towards the man Stacey thought was just another customer. "Hey." Stevie's hands cupped Lindsey's face and she pecked him on the lips.

"Do you greet all customers this way?" Lindsey joked, leaning in again, his hands gripping her waist.

"He's your boyfriend?" Stacey asked, sounding rather disappointed.

"No." Stevie replied and Lindsey pretended like that didn't sting.

"Oh?" Stacey perked up again.

"Not yet." Stevie clarified and turned her attention back to Lindsey. "You're early. I can't leave yet."

"Just like half an hour." Lindsey shrugged. "I'll look around, maybe I'll find something for myself."

Stevie raised an eyebrow, looked around the store full of women's clothes, then her eyes settled on Lindsey. "I'm not sure if we have anything that suits you. You're more of a T-shirt and jeans kind of guy."

"And here I was, thinking of exploring some other options." Lindsey replied jokingly. "What does closing procedure look like? Maybe I can help with something, so we can get out of here quicker."

"I have Stacey to help me." Stevie waved it off. "We-"

"You should go." Stacey spoke up. "There's really no procedure." She emphasized, making Lindsey think that she was mocking him. "I've seen you close the shop every day the past week, so." She shrugged. "Go, you obviously have something a lot more fun to do."

Stevie was a little apprehensive, she looked from Stacey to Lindsey and back to the girl. Asking if she was sure a few times, Stevie thanked Stacey and rushed to gather her things.

"Do you think she would have made fun of us right in our faces if she knew that we're just going to the movies?" Stevie asked, opening the passenger side door to get it.

"Oh, absolutely." Lindsey laughed, nodding his head. "I'm pretty sure she was making fun of me for saying closing procedure."

A whole month had passed since their pizza making date. Their relationship had significantly improved and was almost back to how it was before the Carol situation. Lindsey was no longer afraid of Stevie running away from him, she showed no signs that would indicate that. They still hadn't spent a single night together, though, Lindsey had been allowed to stay over and sleep on the couch at Stevie's apartment a few times. He was okay with that, he knew it was his own fault. He was happy to have her back and was determined to prove to her that she hadn't made a mistake by giving him a second chance.

"Do you want to get something to eat?" Lindsey asked as they were making their way out of the movie theater. "Junk food sounds really good."

"You can eat junk food when you're alone." Stevie shook her head. "Let's go to my place and I'll cook?"

"You don't have to do that." Lindsey said, hugging her around the shoulders while they walked back to his car. "It feels like I forced you to offer."

"I like taking care of you." Stevie shrugged, looking up at him with a smile on her face. "Who knows, if you behave, I might even let you stay the night."

"I would love to, but I'm sorry, your couch is so damn uncomfortable. I'm not sure I can take another night sleeping on it." What the hell are you doing, Lindsey felt like an idiot for saying that.

"Who said anything about you sleeping on the couch?"
