Chapter Two; IS THE GHOST OUT HAUNTING

Chaos, pure chaos in the underworld. The Sixth leader dead, killed in his own game by his own rules, but this was not what aroused these chaos. After his shameful demise Dannoel Morero's body disappeared but later found the following morning with the same marking as the previous four dead leaders. An upside down cross with a curve that seemed like a smile.

This mark was first spotted four years ago, on the chest of Alexander Montgomery a very prominent underworld god. His death shook many, it was like a scene from a dramatic horror film. The killer was clearly psychotic and gained fame immediately. This death created fear among many and started conflicts as no one trusted another. The blame games begun.

Alexander Montgomery's body was found in an alley. Completely naked his autopsy showed he was drowned first, his tongue was missing along with his eye balls and his genitals. His arms were cut off the body then placed on his chest forming an x-shape. Beneath the arms was the mark. The knife used seemed blunt judging by the crookedness of the mark.

According to the autopsies all these wounds were performed while Alexander was still alive. Apparently the cause of death was not even the drowning but the stab to his heart. Judging by the amount of blood on the walls and ground it took long hours for the killer to give him the mercy and peace that only death could grant.

The second case was Liam Brown a young billionaire at his late twenties. He was a popular former actor, successful model who was the face of millions of brands. His face was in every magazine. This popularity was witnessed upto his death. His death broadcasted live but everyone thought it was an upcoming film. After all the killer made it seem like he was playing Escape Room.

All his fans were excited he was featured in the next Escape Room. The live feed was from his phone via his Instagram. The number of followers doubled during the live, it became the most watched live yet. Millions of unsuspecting people witnessed his death via the live that was five hours long. His pleas for help ignored as people assumed he was acting and commenting on how good his skills were.

Such comments were the last farewell words he got before his death. The fans were however, sad when a trap door fell on his crawling self beheading him on the spot. By this point his legs were chopped off, his body battered mercilessly. He could only crawl on his belly using his hands. The live then ended abruptly making fans itch for the film.

They concluded that since they killed him in the film trailer he was not the main character. Others thought maybe he really won't die in the film but they were just being given a taste of the upcoming movie. The excitement was more than he had ever manage to summon during his entire life. The following day, his body was all over bill boards the head on the chest with the cross mark underneath. This was enough nightmare for the entire world.

Matthew Anderson sat in his office, he owned the longest restaurant chain the world. All were seven star restaurants, he was in his early thirties. His mind was on a frenzy, he was confused and couldn't help but be paranoid. The two dead guys were his friends, three leaders had died in a period of two months but only two were his concern. Alexander Montgomery and Liam Brown, their death saddened him but it's the fear they caused he couldn't shake.

He knew the mark, he remembers as the tatoo artist marked her delicate skin. He remembers asking the artist to add the smile after the cross. "Oooh shut up bitch! At least there's a part of you that's smilling". He refused to believe these deaths had anything to do with her. He saw life leave her eyes, he was certain she died that night. He of all of them should be sure after all he knew her better.

The following day Matthew Anderson's body was found in his favorite restaurant's kitchen. He was completely naked other than the chef hat on his head. His lips cut off leaving his teeth out, showing the biggest smile or grin ever. There was an apple pie half eaten some smeared all over his face. The pie was near his head.

He was bowels gutted out, all his intestines all over the floor. The mark on his chest were half hidden by these intestines. However, his mark was a bit different to a keen eye. The smile was deeper than the cross. The public were informed of his death but just like the other murders the mark was not mentioned. Only that the murders were connected and the police were trying to find the killer. Only the underworld knew in detail about these brutal murders.

Christopher Anderson was Matthew's brother and the fourth case. When he heard of his brother's demise, he went to Matthew's office and found a letter addressed to him. After reading it he fled, he followed his brother's instructions which only seemed useful for a year. A year later his body found in a scene nothing less than a cover for a book on The Exorcism. The part of the letter found said...

"Someone is avenging her death...but no one else knew about th....a traitor among us.....or maybe the ghost is out to get us"

Most parts of the letter were faded and worn out. However, the gruesome image of his death could never fade from anyone's memory, not in this lifetime or the next. All bones in his body were bend in weird angles. These bones cracked protruding from the skin, his head faced his back. His body was completely drained of any blood, he was dry and pale like a new canvas. But that wasn't the worst part, he was crucified on an upside down cross in the middle of a street.

Hence, with this new body of Dannoel Morero. People needed answers as fast as possible. Among the "people" four were more impatient than most, a mere glimpse at Matthew's letter was enough to keep them on toes. They knew their lives were on a goddamed timer and they were willing to do anything to change that.

First step was to find that bidder in a black dress as she clearly was paid to kill Dannoel. She was their key to the killer. How will they find her?
