When Dawkins saw the face of his old friend, he stood up from his seat, and forcibly dragged him to a spot behind the hospital; leaving Y/N alone with dozens of other convicts, who were awaiting their fate. They went through a navy blue gate, before pinning Fagin to a brick wall, making the criminal smile, before letting go, trusting him not to run off, "Dog got your tongue?"

Jack was surprised, "You're dead! They hanged you fifteen years ago in Newgate!"

"Surprise, Surprise!," Fagin chuckles like an old grandfather, "What are you? Why are they all salutin' you like you're royalty?"

Jack was pissed, "I was a navy surgeon, an officer!"

"Oh, You've done well for yourself, boy. I'm proud of you."

"What are you doing here, Fagin?!"

"Well, her majesty and I thought that I could benefit from a bit of quiet time in the colony," He talked to Queen Victoria?! He didn't believe it, but at the same time he did. You see, Fagin was a weird man; he pickpocketed for fun, as well as raising Jack how to steal items when he was no older than thirteen..he abandoned him when he was imprisoned and caught stealing, gaslighting him that being stuck behind rusty iron bars was a privilege.

"Now listen to me, I can decide your fate with a stroke of my pen, so if one word gets out of about our past-"

Fagin scoffed, "No, I would never do that, Never, Never. To even think it hurts. No, it's here for you, just as I hope you're here for me. Because sometimes, a covey gets pushed into a corner like a rat and the only way out is to bite. So, don't make me bite you, Dodge."

Both men paused their conversation for a millisecond, before Jack interrupted the silence, still not happy, "What do you want?"

"Well, a little bird flapped in and whispered to me that you'd escaped from prison in London..Do they hang escaped convicts here?" In anger and frustration, the surgeon pins him to the wall, indicating a "Yes", "I'll take that as a yes. Don't fret, I'd never give you up, just keep me off that chain gang."

From not far off, Gaines called out to Jack, "Dawkins!" wondering where he was. He enters through the gate, making him let go of Fagin, afraid that he'll be caught, "Everything all right?"

"Yes, I thought he might have something contagious, but it's just his stench," he really said the last word bitterly, as he looked at him.

"Where's he going? I need another on the chain gang. Doesn't matter, if he doesn't last that long."

The surgeon shook his head, fully deciding on the fate of his former ally, "No, I was thinking of making him my convict servant."

"Really?!" Gaines was rather surprised on why Dawkins chose this particular convict to do his bidding, "That is unconventional."

"I see untapped potential."

"Very untapped, I'd say."

Meanwhile, Fagin was still standing next to Jack, eavesdropping on the conversation when he shouldn't. It was almost entertaining to him, as he listened to the whole thing with a cheeky smile plastered on his face.

"Yes, I have a nose for this kind of thing," Dawkins replies, not really wanting to deal with Gaines at that time, his tone slowly shifting to one of being annoyed.

"Yes, Well, you'll want to plug it..-The man smells like a Yorkshire pig house," the convict handler says in a disgusted tone, before leaving, his body overflowing with pure snide; which causes the pickpocket to smile wider before telling his old friend, "I like him."

The surgeon rolls his eyes sarcastically, getting a grip on the convict's wrist, before dragging him out from behind the gate, in a speed walking motion towards where Sneed and the others were still handing out different fates to the other ones, "Come on."
