I took off the mask and took a deep breath. I coughed for a bit but I refused to but it on. And it was kind of good because I ended up getting over the coughing fit. I pulled off all the tubes and everything and took a shaky step towards the door.

I looked out the door and saw only the girl at the front desk. Someone rolled a cart by and I ducked back inside my room. The girl at the front desk started talking to the guy with the cart and I slipped outside and into the room across the hall. It would be easier to get out if the girl at the desk couldn't see me.

The guy with the cart went behind the desk and I crawled over to the cart and hid under neath the sheet. I held on tight as we soon started to move. I heard the the elevator ding singling the elevators arrival. I peeked out from under the sheet and saw that the guy was by the doors facing them. I moved silently and crawled out from the cart. We got to the third floor and I was glad I had decided to get of the cart.

I pressed the one button and stood up. The doors opened and I smiled to myself when I saw the guy at the desk sleeping. I moved behind the desk and looked at the code. 7-5-3-1 was the code to open the doors and elevators.

I walked to the door and punched in the code and left the building. I looked around and walked to the closest bank. It was the bank that my parents used and it had a bank account that I could access. The bank account was actually made for me and my mom made sure I was the only one who could use it. She couldn't even touch it to cancel it.

I walked into the bank and was greeted by the girl at the front desk. She smiled and knew what I was here for. "What would it be Sophie?" Sara asked me. "Taking out or putting in?"

"Taking out please." I said with a giant smile. She nodded and got out a sheet of paper.

"And how much would you like to take out?" She asked.

"All of it please. I would like to cancel the account as well."

"Oh." She said and did it. She gave me the three million dollars in a check and smiled at me.

"If you don't mind me asking, what is it for?" She asked, tucking her red hair behind her left ear.

"I want to give it to my new family." I told her the truth. Her eyes widened as she fully took in my appearance.

"You were on the news this morning. You saved two people, Lovino Vargas, and Antonio Fernández Carriedo from the burning building." She said in amazement. I nodded and signed the check.

"I'm giving it to them so we can build a new house. It's my way of thanking them for what they have done for me by taking me in. Because of them I have made friends. And most of all I have earned a family that cares about me." I said before leaving to back to the hospital.
