Chapter 6

I woke up in the morning to the sound of my roommate yelling. At first, I wondered who it was because I was in a deep sleep. Then I remembered that I'm in dorm now, so it must be Suga hyung. I looked at him carefully to recognize him and realized, oh, it really is my roommate. I hurriedly got up and asked him what happened and why he was yelling. He said he couldn't sleep because I was snoring loudly and told me to stop snoring. I got really angry, but since he is my new roommate, I couldn't say anything to him. When I was at home, if someone woke me up suddenly or yelled at me, I would either yell back or throw a pillow. My sleep gets very disturbed if I'm stressed or have been overthinking before sleeping, and that's when I snore. But this is a health problem I have. I try very hard to change myself, but I can't manage to do it 😔😔 .

I couldn't fall back asleep, so I got up feeling frustrated and tired because my sleep was incomplete. I freshened up, brushed my teeth, and got ready. I put on a denim shirt, black pants, and small hoop earrings, grabbed my backpack, and left for my first day of UNI without eating anything. It was a 10-minute walk from the dorm to the UNI gate. Standing there, I wondered if I should go in or not, but I knew I had to, so I hesitantly entered.

Since I still needed my identity card and had a few formalities to complete, I went straight to the admission desk where a lady was sitting. I asked her, "Ma'am, I need my ID and schedule, along with anything else that's left." She asked for my name, and "Park Jimin". She then said, "Come with me." We went to the office where she took some things out of a cupboard, and then she came back to me and said, "Okay, Park Jimin, here is your ID card, receipt, locker key, and schedule." I collected everything from her.

She took me to my class where a male teacher was already present. She said to him, "Excuse me, sir, this is a new admission. Please introduce him." Hearing this, I got a bit nervous. Sir said, "Hello, I'm Jinman, the economics proffessor, and this is my class ." All the students said hello together. I just bowed down ,I went and sat in the middle of the class on a seat that was somewhat empty, where fewer students were sitting. Then sir said, "There's Jaensu and Taehyung OR you can call him V next to you. Don't be nervous, and study well in my class. Don't be afraid." Hearing this made me happy, as he seemed to be a nice teacher. Then he asked, "And your name?" I stood up and said, "Hello, my name is Park Jimin. Thank you."

After that, sir resumed teaching, and I was very pleased with his teaching style because I could understand everything. Before I knew it, the class was over.

While studying, all the classes went well and I made a new friend. His name is Taehyung/V. He's a bit flirtatious, but we have a lot in common, like our taste in music and our love for dance. We even exchanged numbers. He stays in my dorm but different floor, and I think I might have found my soulmate. However, there are some things about V that I don't like, such as how he won't talk to me unless I talk to him first. For a while, we both had an attitude, but I had to drop mine😏😏😏and talk to him first. After that, he wouldn't stop talking.

We finished our classes and started heading back to the dorm. On the way, I said, "V, let's eat something, I'm hungry." He nodded simply, and we decided to get cheesy hotdogs. We bought it and were eating while walking. I asked him, "where are you from?" He said, "Daegu." Then he repeated the same question, and I replied, "Busan." He then mentioned that there are many people from Busan in the dorm. I looked at him excitedly and said, "Really? But I've only talked to two people so far. One is from Gwangju, but he's very extroverted and talks to anyone. The other one, oh yeah, he's from Daegu too, my roomie, but he's very introverted and barely talks to me."

Taehyung then said, "Well, I'll have to talk to him since I'm an introvert too and don't talk to just anyone." We both nodded and laughed. As we entered the dorm, I asked, "So, whats ur room number?" He replied, "416 ." We got into the elevator, and when my floor came, I said bye and headed towards my room.

When I reached my room, Suga was in the washroom, taking a shower. So, I quietly sat and scrolled through reels because, with only one washroom, I couldn't go in, and I needed to shower too before going for dinner. Just then, Suga came out of the bathroom and said, "Oh, you're back! How was your first day?" I replied with a fake smile, "Hmm, it was good," (because I couldn't sleep early last night, and in the morning, he woke me up and now he was asking how my day was). Annoyed, I said, "I'm very tired." Then I asked, "How about yours?" He replied, "Don't ask. As soon as my benchmate saw me, he said it looked like I didn't sleep well." I responded, "Oh, my roommate was snoring, so I woke up early."

Hearing this, my blood started boiling, and my face turned red with anger, but I calmly said, "I have a health problem. I can't do anything about it." Suga said, "But you have to do something." Frustrated, I replied, "You do whatever you want. I'm very tired. I'm going to shower and then sleep." Maybe he found this rude because he didn't reply. I showered, went to sleep, and, like yesterday, missed my dinner again. I hurriedly went downstairs, but by then, the café was closed. Now, I'd have to order from outside. I sat in the waiting area, ordered, and was listening to a song when I got a notification that my food had arrived.

I went to the hostel gate to get my parcel. As I was re-entering, I heard a voice say, "Excuse me." I looked and froze for a moment. Doe eyes, a mole under the lips, and black hair with locks covering the eyes, and that tattoo. Oh, it's that guy. What was his name? Junghook? No, no, Jungguk. Ah, yes, Jungkook. He said again, "Excuse me, both my hands are occupied. Could you open the gate for me?" Stuttering, I said, "Y-yeaah." I quickly opened the gate. He came in, said thanks, and walked away while I kept looking at him.

When I got back to the room thinking about what just happened to me, Suga was on the phone. I took out my dinner, which was simple fish stew ,rice and fried chicked, and it was really tasty. After eating, I washed my hands and sat down. Suga asked, "How are you feeling now? Still tired or fresh?" I replied, "Quite fresh because I completed my sleep." Then I explained to him that if I don't get enough sleep, my mood stays bad. I told him about all my health conditions like my hormones, obesity , migraine and fatique. He asked, "Do you take any medicine?" I just nodded. I also talked about my sleep deprivation and disturbed sleep. He asked, "Is this your first time staying away from home?" I nodded again. Then he suggested, "Let's exchange numbers." I gave him my number, and he gave me his.

I couldn't figure out my roommate's nature. Sometimes he's happy, sometimes sad, sometimes very sleepy, and sometimes grumpy. Then we talked more about home, our passions, why we don't like making friends, and Suga's favorite topic, Hobi. I don't understand why Suga doesn't like him. I said, "Maybe it's because of his extroverted nature."

Then I added, "Oh yeah, today I met a friend from Daegu who is also an introvert." Suga smiled, and I said, "It seems you also want to talk to him." Suga gave me a questioning look. I said, "Taehyung also wants to talk to you." He looked at me in shock, and I started laughing. But Suga looked at me seriously and said, "You have a really nice smile." My face turned red with .

Then I noticed it was getting late, and Suga was lying down to sleep. I asked, "Should I turn off the light?" since my bed was near the switchboard and the main door. He said, "Yes." So, I turned off the light, and we both got ready to sleep. Compared to yesterday, I might actually fall asleep tonight because I need to get used to this place. With these thoughts, I drifted into a deep sleep.
