A few weeks had passed since Jimin and Jungkook decided to give their relationship another shot. They had been spending time together, slowly rebuilding their connection, but the path wasn’t without its bumps. Both of them had moments of insecurity, old wounds that threatened to resurface, and the constant reminder of the past struggles.
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon when their first real test came. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the streets. As they made their way back to dorm from UNI, they ran into Somi, Jungkook's ex-girlfriend.
Somi was alone, looking as though she was walking aimlessly, her expression distant. When she saw them, her face lit up for a brief moment before a flicker of tension crossed her features.
“Jungkook… Jimin,” she greeted them both, her voice polite but distant.
Jimin stiffened, unsure of how to react. It had been a while since he had seen Somi, and the sight of her made something inside him twist. He had worked so hard to move on, to focus on his own growth, but the encounter with Somi stirred up old feelings.
Jungkook noticed Jimin’s unease and instinctively reached for his hand. “Hey, Somi. How have you been?” Jungkook asked, his tone neutral but polite.
Somi shrugged, a faint smile on her lips. “I’ve been fine. Just… needed some time alone, I guess.” She glanced at Jimin briefly, then back at Jungkook. “I see you two are doing okay. I’m glad.”
The air grew heavier, and Jimin could feel the tension in the space between them. He wasn’t sure if he was ready to see Somi again, especially not with Jungkook standing right next to him, but he forced himself to stay calm. He didn’t want to be the jealous, insecure person he once was.
“Yeah,” Jimin replied, his voice steady despite the churn in his stomach. “We’re good.”
Somi nodded slowly. “That’s good to hear. I hope everything works out for you both.”
There was an awkward silence, and Jimin could feel the discomfort settling in. He tried to focus on Jungkook, who was still holding his hand, but the presence of Somi seemed to haunt him. What if Jungkook still had feelings for her? What if he was just staying with Jimin because he didn’t want to be alone?
“I think we should head home,” Jimin said quietly, turning to Jungkook. “We’ve had a long day.”
Jungkook looked at him, his expression softening. He nodded and squeezed Jimin’s hand. “Yeah, let’s go.”
Somi watched them leave, her eyes lingering on Jungkook for a moment longer than necessary, but then she turned and walked away in the opposite direction. The encounter had left an emotional mark on both of them.
As they walked back to dorm in silence, the weight of everything hung in the air.
“Are you okay?” Jungkook asked softly, breaking the silence.
Jimin exhaled slowly, forcing himself to stay composed. “I don’t know. It just… felt weird, you know? Seeing her again. I know it’s not a big deal, but something inside me just… tightened.”
Jungkook stopped walking, turning to face Jimin. “It’s not weird, Jiminie. You’re allowed to feel that way. And I’m here with you, not her. I’m not going anywhere.”
Jimin swallowed, his eyes searching Jungkook's face. “I’m trying to not let the past mess with me. But sometimes it feels like it’s right there, always following me.”
Jungkook took a step closer, cupping Jimin’s face gently in his hands. “It’s okay to feel conflicted. You don’t have to pretend everything is fine all the time. We’ll work through it together, step by step.”
Jimin closed his eyes, feeling the warmth of Jungkook's hands against his skin. He had spent so long fighting his own emotions, trying to bury everything he felt, but in this moment, he allowed himself to feel. He felt safe in Jungkook’s arms, even when doubts crept into his mind.
“Thank you,” Jimin whispered, his voice shaky. “I don’t want to lose you again.”
“You won’t,” Jungkook promised, pressing a gentle kiss to Jimin’s forehead. “I’m here for you. And we’ll make this work.”
After that day, things between Jimin and Jungkook shifted slightly. They still had their ups and downs, but they began to communicate more openly. They realized that part of their struggle was rooted in their inability to express their insecurities and fears in the past. Now, they were learning to be more open with each other.
One night they sat together in Jungkook's room the dim lighting giving the room a cozy ambiance curled up together, watching a movie and enjoying the night while eating chocolate.
But neither of them was really paying attention to the screen. Instead, their hands were intertwined, fingers gently brushing against each other.
“I never thought we’d get here,” Jimin said quietly, breaking the silence.
Jungkook turned his head to look at him, his gaze soft. “You’re surprised?”
“I didn’t think we’d ever find our way back,” Jimin admitted. “After everything that happened, I wasn’t sure if we’d even be friends again, let alone… this.”
Jungkook smiled faintly, his thumb tracing circles on Jimin's hand. “I was lost for a while too. But I knew, deep down, that we were meant to find each other again. We’re different now, but maybe that’s what we needed to be.”
Jimin nodded, his heart swelling with a mix of emotions. “I’m glad we’re here. I’m glad we’re trying.”
Jimins POV:
We were just talking when our eyes met, and something strange stirred in my heart. It felt nice, like something special. We were holding each other's hands and sitting very close. And just when it felt like things had gone too far, I was about to pull myself out of the situation when suddenly I felt a pair of lips against mine.
I hesitated for a moment after that I started to match his rhythm.
I open my eyes to see Jungkook eating my lips I couldn't believe that all of this was actually happening ,things that were only part of my fantasies or felt like a dream. Just then, Jungkook pulls me onto his lap. He kissed me, I sat on his lap with my legs on either side of his, straddling him. He moved from kissing my jawline to my neck, and I loved it,it felt amazing. My neck is a weak spot, and he began to slowly bite and lick it, making soft moaning sounds escape my lips, though I tried to suppress them.
Hearing this, Jungkook said, "Don't hold it back, let me hear your moans." His words intoxicated me, and I felt something deep inside, wishing time would freeze so we could just stay in each other's arms forever. Jungkook stopped and looked into my eyes before saying, "I love you." He then licked my lips, took off his shirt, and tossed it somewhere in the room.
Now I could clearly see his abs, and all I could think was, "Oh my god, my Jk is so handsome." I was looking at him while biting my lips when he said, "My entire body belongs to you. You can touch me or kiss me however you want." Hearing this, my cheeks turned red. He then asked, "Jimin, are you a virgin?" I just nodded, and he said, "We can wait if you want."
I replied, "Not sex, but we can do everything else." Hearing this, he looked at me excitedly and began unbuttoning my shirt.
