Chapter Three-Scene Six

Family Gathering

The family gathering is like a a stepping stone to everyone meeting each other, its a dinner that the coordinators put together for the entire family. The family gathering was being held on The Ambiance Event Hall formerly known as the Burnell's Square located on Sere Street in New Orleans. This was a casual/formal gathering. Everybody had to wear the family colors which were Black and Gold this family reunion was their 55th Annual Family Reunion.

At The Hotel:

Chris and Diamond were getting dressed, Diamond was blow drying her hair sitting in her robe, she has been trying to take it easy seeing she was still in her first trimester and she was considered high risk. Chris came into the bathroom behind her, he wrapped his arms around her from behind she looked at him in the mirror smiling.

Chris: Hey baby.
Diamond: Hey baby.
Chris: You okay?
Diamond: A little.
Chris: Nervous?
Diamond: Yes.
Chris: (kissing her cheek) You gonna be okay baby.
Diamond: I know, I know.
Chris: Do you need me to stay another day?
Diamond: Chris, noooo your dates are already set.
Chris: Baby, I can push back a day.
Diamond: You will not do that to your fans on my behalf.
Chris: My family comes first, my lady comes first.
Diamond: Baby I'll be good I have Rio here, my Uncles got my back as well as my cousins.
Chris: You will call me if you need me, right?
Diamond: Yes baby.
Chris: Okay, imma get dressed then imma go check on the twins.
Diamond: Okay baby.

He gave her one more kiss then went to get dressed.

Christopher

Am I worried about my baby? Hell yeah I am, I'm worried her family is going to stress her the hell out while I'm away on this tour. I want her to leave when I leave but she and her mom agreed to stay the entire week. I'm gonna see if my mom's is going to stay the entire week and she can keep an eye out on her, yeah she got Rio but I don't think he would watch out for her like my mom's would.
After doing a once over of myself in the mirror, I went to the girls room knocked on the door.

Trinity: Yeah?
Chris: Hey can I come in?
Trinity: Hey Pops, yes.

I smiled going in, she was putting her locs in an updo. Looking in the mirror she looked so beautiful just like her moma. I sat on the bed behind her.

Chris: Babygirl?
Trinity: Yes?
Chris: Are you almost ready?
Trinity: Yesssss.
Chris: Where's Trish?
Trinity: In the bathroom.
Chris: (yelled) Ayo Sneakers!!!
Trish: Pops?
Chris: Yes.
Trish: What's up?
Chris: You almost ready?
Trish opened the bathroom door, she was decked out she had on a black button down tucked into,  a pair of gold pants, gold and black belt buckle with the gold and black forces we bought alike. She had her locs in an updo wrapped ponytail.

Chris: Yooooo Sneakers!!!
Trish: What?
Chris: Looking good, Looking good.
Trish: Thanks Pops.
Chris: You both looking good.
Trish: Yo Pops we had the same idea huh?
Chris: Yeah it looks like we did.

I was wearing pretty much the same thing my shirt was gold and my pants were black. Trinity was dressed in a cute gold and black jean skirt fit and gold wedges. Similar to her moma of course.
The girls got themselves together we went into the living area, Diamond walked out my eyes widened She looked even more beautiful she was practically glowing. Diamond looked at me confused.

Diamond: What?
Chris: Woman if I wasn't marrying you and you having my baby I would definitely make that happen right now.
Diamond: Aww baby.

She walked over to me, I slid her into my arms my phone buzzed, I pulled the phone out of my pocket. It was Rio I answered it.

Chris: What's up bro?
Rio: Yo Man, we downstairs the car is waiting.
Chris: Okay, we on our way down.
Rio: Aight bro.

We disconnected the call.
