Last night was absolutely amazing. Lando and I found each other again.
We may had a rough couple of months but that definitely disappeared last night.

I couldn't describe how much I love him.

But unfortunately, Jace was being a little monster again this morning.
Too much sugar did that to him.

"How much ice cream did Max give you yesterday?" I muttered as I tried to put his shoes on. He just shrugged.

Smart enough to defend uncle Max, I see.

"Babe, I really have to go" Lando looked at both of us. "Yeah I am being as fast as I can" I tried not to be too annoyed.

He sighed a little.

"Just go, we will come after" I waved him off. Couldn't deal with him right now.

Dealing with one child was enough.

Lando kissed the top of my head, gave Jace the usual high-five and walked out.

He couldn't even wait five minutes.

"Daddy's gone?" Jace frowned. "Yeah, we will meet him later"

After I was finally able to put his shoes on, I decided to first go eat breakfast with him.
A happy Jace was definitely what I needed today. A happy, quiet, well behaved Jace.

Pretty impossible.

There were still a few Mclaren mechanics in the breakfast room, who smiled as soon as they saw me, or saw Jace running to the food.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked as I picked him up, to let him look at the buffet. "Chocolate donut"

"There are no chocolate donuts, just normal ones" I said, which made him shrug a little. "I want chocolate"

Okay I got it. We have to put chocolate donuts on the menu for breakfast.

I put him down, while I grabbed a plate to put some normal donuts on. He had to be happy with it until I fixed the menu.

"Oh hi Rae" someone, with an high perky voice, said from next to me.

I turned my head to her. "Hi Violet" I tried not to roll my eyes. I couldn't deal with her on an empty stomach or before 10 coffees.

"Hi Jace" she kneeled down and waved right in his face. He didn't answer, he just ran off to some mechanics. "I guess he's a little shy"

"No he's not shy at all" I said.

"So did you have a good night?" She asked, grabbed a plate as well and put some watermelons on it.

"Yeah" I said, walked away to the coffee machine but she was still following me. "Did you?"

"Yes!" She said enthusiastically. "Such a good night"

"Amazing" I wanted this conversation to be over. She knew I couldn't stand her, so why would she want to talk to me?

Just to annoy me? She definitely achieved that.

———————————

"Promise me that you won't give Jace so much ice cream anymore" I looked at Max, who was sitting next to me in the hospitality as we both looked at Jace.

Who ran off once again.

But luckily, Lando walked in just in time to pick him up. He walked up to us, kissed my lips quickly and greeted Max as well.

"So I will be later tonight. Zak wants me to do some stupid event" he said as he put Jace back in his chair.

"What kind of event?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Some team event"

"Okay" I smiled. Wish he told me sooner though, I had to work, the monthly business meeting was coming up and I didn't prepare yet.

It was difficult to work with Jace around you. Very impossible even.

I couldn't ask Max again, he watched him yesterday. So I guess I had to postpone working on it.

Or I could work on it here. So that's what I did.

Max and Lando took Jace to the garage so I could work in silence.

I was halfway done when it was time for the qualifying. Grabbed my things and walked to the garage, only to be stopped by Christian.

"Rae!" He called after me. This man couldn't take a no.

"Christian" I nodded, wanted to walk passed him. "Can we talk?" He quickly said.

"Don't you have to be at the pitwall? Qualifying is about to start?"

"This is more important" he shrugged. "Did you think about my offer?"

"I won't sponsor Red Bull, Hilton is sponsoring Mclaren already" I explained this so many times already.

I got it though, having a hotel sponsor you was a great perk for them.
Free rooms, free food.

"Can't you ask another hotel branch to sponsor you?" I asked.

"No, we only want you" he said, before walking away to his garage.

I stood there for a little while. Don't know why he wanted me, wanted Hilton so badly.

He knew I wasn't gonna drop Mclaren.
