After Max told me that Lando wanted to meet me, I texted him and we agreed to meet up in the bar in my hotel.
I went a little early, to drink, I definitely needed that.
He was on time again, lately he's always been on time, which surprised me.
"Hi Rae, how are you?" He said as he sat down with me. "Good, you?"
He didn't reply, he just nodded.
I wasn't gonna tell him what happened in London, wasn't any of his business anyway.
"So-uh" he cleared his throat. "I have to ask you something"
That didn't sound good.
"That's what I expected"
"About Jace.." he shifted a little in his seat. "How sure are you that he's mine?"
That was not at all what I was expecting.
"What do you mean?" I frowned.
"Is Jace mine or is he someone else's?" He asked, a little annoyed now.
I snorted, couldn't believe he was asking me this. "Excuse me? So who do you think is his father then?"
"Mason? You dated him right before me, you stopped drinking when you were still dating him"
I blinked a few times, did he really think Jace wasn't his? Or was he trying to put the blame on me?
Fair enough, I never did a DNA test, but Jace was a mini version of Lando. How could he not see that?
"I stopped drinking because I make stupid decisions when I'm drunk, like marrying someone who turns out to be a complete idiot"
I also wanted to be responsible, I stopped drinking because of that - not because I thought I was pregnant.
"Right" he mumbled, he still didn't believe me.
"What? You don't believe me?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I honestly don't know what to believe Rae, because you didn't answer my question"
"Jace is obviously yours, Lando" I said as I finished my drink, and got up. I was done with this conversation, done with him.
Completely done.
How could he doubt me?
"Are you dating Mason again?" He asked, looked up at me and I could see it actually bothered him.
"Are you dating Violet?" I returned his question.
He shook his head.
Not sure if I should believe him.
I wanted to walk away, but he quickly got up as well, followed me out of the bar. "Rae, did you have sex with Max before we got back together?"
I frowned. "Are you fucking kidding me? Now you think Jace is his?"
He didn't answer, he just looked at me.
"No Lando, I didn't have sex with him back then, but I'm gonna have sex with him right now"
I turned around, wanted to walk away from him, but he grabbed my arm and quickly turned me around. "Are you fucking kidding me?"
"Don't touch me" I said, pulling my arm back. "And leave me alone"
"You're not gonna have sex with Max" he said.
I didn't respond, I was tired of him.
"Rae" He said a bit louder. "Please don't do stupid things"
"Like you? When you fucked Violet? I think I can fuck whoever I want, no?"
He chuckled at that. "And you want to fuck Max? Seriously?"
"Yeah definitely, he's very good at that, probably one of the bes-"
"Don't" he interrupted me.
I stopped talking and so did he, we just looked at each other, in silence.
He pressed the button to call the elevator, but didn't take his eyes off me.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"If you wanna have sex with someone.." he whispered, grabbed my hand and pulled me in the elevator. "Then it's with no one else but me"
