Hannah and Fuyuhiko sat in the detention room, the air thick with tension. The teacher supervising them, Mr Yamato, cast an annoyed glance in their direction but said nothing, leaving them to stew in their mutual irritation.

Hannah groaned, flinging her head back in annoyance. "This is so stupid," she muttered, glaring at the clock on the wall. "I can't believe we're stuck here because of you."

"Because of me?" Fuyuhiko shot back, a mocking grin spreading across his face. "You're the one who started yelling in the corridor. I was just defending myself."

"Defending yourself?" Hannah scoffed, her irritation growing. "You were provoking me, as usual. You always have to have the last word, don't you?"

Fuyuhiko leaned back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. "Oh, come on. Don't be so dramatic. You're always complaining about something."

"I'm not always complaining!" Hannah snapped, her face flushing with anger. "You just know how to get under my skin."

"Maybe you should work on not being so easy to rile up," Fuyuhiko teased, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "It's actually pretty entertaining watching you lose your cool."

Hannah clenched her fists, her knuckles turning white. "You think this is funny? Being stuck in detention because of your stupid antics?"

Fuyuhiko's smirk widened. "Well, it's not like I had any thrilling plans this afternoon. Besides, it's kind of fun seeing you all worked up."

"Fun? You think this is fun?" Hannah stood up, her chair scraping loudly against the floor. "You're such a-"

"Hey, keep it down!" Mr Yamato snapped, glaring at them. "One more outburst, and you'll both be here all week."

Hannah shot Fuyuhiko a furious glare before slumping back into her seat. She crossed her arms tightly over her chest, fuming silently. Fuyuhiko chuckled softly, clearly enjoying her reaction.

"You know," he said, his voice lower so the teacher wouldn't hear, "You really need to learn to relax. You're going to give yourself a heart attack before you even graduate."

"Why do you always have to be such a jerk?" Hannah hissed, her eyes narrowing. "Do you enjoy making people miserable?"

Fuyuhiko shrugged, unfazed by her anger. "I just tell it like it is. If you can't handle it, that's not my problem."

Hannah shook her head, exasperated. "You're impossible."

"And yet, here we are." Fuyuhiko replied, leaning back in his chair with a satisfied grin. "Guess we're stuck with each other for the next hour. Might as well make the best of it."

Hannah sighed, feeling the weight of the situation settle over her. She knew arguing with Fuyuhiko was pointless, but she couldn't help but be infuriated by his smug attitude. She turned her attention back to the clock, willing the minutes to pass faster, all the while silently plotting her revenge for the next time he provoked her.

As the minutes dragged on, the tension in the room seemed to grow thicker. Mr Yamato glanced at his watch, and sighed, slowly standing up. "I need to step out for a few minutes," he said, casting a warning look at Hannah and Fuyuhiko. "Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."

The door clicked shut behind him, and an uneasy silence filled the room. Hannah shifted in her seat, her fingers drumming impatiently on the desk. Fuyuhiko watched her with a smirk, clearly enjoying her discomfort.

"What's the matter?" he drawled. "Bored already?"

"Shut up," Hannah snapped, not even looking at him. "I don't want to hear it."
