I want everyone in The Pit. Two minutes.", announced Four as everyone got dressed and followed after the man quickly.

While walking, Lilah went through her curls with her fingers, fluffing them out a bit and trying to get rid of some knots.
She stopped with some other members as Eric and Four stood before them.

There are two stages of training.
The first is physical. Push your bodies to the breaking point and you'll master the methods of combat. The second is mental. Again, breaking point. You'll face your worst fears and conquer them unless they get you first.
You'll be trained separately from the Dauntless-born, but you'll be ranked together. After initiations, rankings will
determine what jobs you move into.
Leadership, guarding the fence, or keeping the Factionless from killing each other.", Four explained as everyone listened, while Lilah yawned.
Her attention span wasn't that good.

"The rankings will also determine who gets cut.", Eric cut in with a smirk, making Lilah raise an eyebrow.

Now this got interesting.

"Cut?", asked Christina, panic radiating of her body.

"At the end of each stage of training, the lowest-ranking Initiates will be leaving us.", Eric explained as he stared at the scared crowd.

"To do what?"

"There's no going home to your families, so you'd live factionless—"

"Why didn't we know that?", Will cut Eric off, making him raise his eyebrow.

"It's a new rule."

"Somebody should have told us that.", Christina demanded as she frowned.

Lilah wasn't really bothered by it.
It was kill or be killed in the world they lived in and she clearly made her choice.

Why? Would you have chosen differently? Out of fear?
I mean, if that's the case, you might as well get out now. If you're really one of us, it won't matter to you that you might fail. Now you chose us.
Now we get to choose you.", Eric ended with a smirk.

Lilah rolled her eyes and looked around, before her eyes met a pair of honey brown ones, which stared at her.
She quirked a brow at him as he didn't look away, making his lip twitch.

"You are too got at this.", Will commented as he stared at Lilah, shooting each bullet perfectly in the bull's eyes.
"What's your trick?"

Sighing in annoyance, she glanced at the boy,"Just imagine someone you would be thrilled about to kill."

She was imagining her father.

"Good work.", a deep voice from behind her commented and she didn't need to turn around to see who it was.

She simply hummed and replied,"I know."

"Arrogance isn't a good trait you know?", he questioned, making her chuckle.
—but it was attractive on you

"I am not arrogant.", she replied, before shooting her remaining bullets, each landing perfectly.
"It's knowing your worth—you should do that."
With that she took of her eardrums and glasses, leaving towards the fighting area.
She noticed the man following her, making her scoff.
"Shouldn't you supervise the others?"

Four ignored her question and asked,"Why would you think I don't know my worth?"

"You are brooding. Your eyebrows are always furrowed and you look like you will compost every second.", she explained as he chuckled a bit—before stopping as she caught him.
