You don't know what to do since you and Coop let your father escape. You want to see what Coop is really like as a bounty hunter. You bring up the idea while you pack your bag.

"Please. Pretty, pretty please. I promise I'll do everything you say!" You beg Coop. He groans.

"Fine! Will it shut you the hell up?" He says putting his weapons away.

You smirk but it quickly disappears. You pull out a book that has the initials LM on the cover. You know you didn't put it in your bag.

"To Y/N,
          if you are reading this, then you must know the truth and it's going to be hard. Your mother was my best friend and you weren't born in a vault."

You look to see what Coop is doing and try not to catch his attention. You continue reading in your head.

"Your father met your mother on the surface and convinced her to live in the vault. Once she realized the true intentions of the vaults, she brought you and your brother to me. She would show you how to dance in the sun and how to shoot a gun. It wasn't until you started to forget all of that that she knew something was going on. You were 6. She found out they altered your memories."

You take a deep breath and didn't even notice that Coop was sitting right by you. Coop is looking in your eyes. You have tears forming. He rubs your shoulders.

"They killed her because she found out the truth about me. I killed her." You cry out.

Coop forces you to look at him. "THEY killed her, not you! Your father did that." He makes you stand on your feet and look at him. His brown eyes on fire. He really looks in your eyes. You feel so vulnerable. Like he stares past your eyes and into your soul. You begin to cry. They just fall at that point. He presses his lips to yours and you cry while kissing him gently. Once he breaks the kiss, he holds you as you cry more.

"Can I ask you something?" You sniff and wipe your eyes.

"Yes." Coop says so calmly it causes shivers down your spine.

"How did you know Moldaver? You said she saved your life?" You ask as you look up at him.

He stares back and then let's go of you. He paces a little bit but finally answers. "She helped me find out the truth about the vaults." He stops pacing and just looks at you. "She gave me an ear piece that hooked up to my wife's pip boy. I spied on her and found out that they were going to use the vaults for experiments and to insure that the vaults would get buyers, they were going to drop the bombs themselves. If Lee didn't give me that ear piece, I would have been in a vault all these years. When the bombs dropped," he sighs and you see his eyes tear up, "I got Janey into a vault but I wasn't allowed. More like they ripped her out of my arms and I was trapped outside. I was ok with that but the look Janey gave me. That is engraved in my brain. I got on my horse and rode as far as she could go. It wasn't long before the radiation got me." He stops and lets a single tear roll down his cheek.

You walk over to him and wipe it. He flinched but doesn't stop you. Instead, he grabs your arm and pulls you closer. You hug him and he hugs you back. You feel at peace and nuzzle into his chest and rest your cheek on his chest. You feel more tears fall onto your cheek from Coop. you two hold each other for a while.

You and coop are walking and talking. You bring up a bounty that is out on a random person in a town that you are going to pass before New Vegas. He nods and you both set out to make your way to that town. You wince in pain after a bit but play it off as a pulled muscle. Coop insists on looking at it. He sees a bite mark from him that isn't quite healed. He sighs and says "I'm sorry. I won't do that again. You need rad away." As he puts your jump suit back over your shoulder.

"I actually like when you bite me." You say with a wink and big grin. He makes fun of you but also kisses your cheek.

"Darling shut up." He says as he smiles at you.

You smirk at the ground as you walk some more. You both decide to rest and enjoy the town before you do your hunting for your bounty.

Coop pays for a room and you get settled. You slide him a bag. He stares at it with confusion.

"What is that?" He asks picking it up.

"Your payment. I did promise you 200 caps." You smirk.

He tosses the bag onto the table and walks swiftly over to you. He grabs you and picks you up. You wrap your legs around his waist. He kisses you hard. You knock his hat off and he is quick to push you against the wall. You let out a gasp as he kisses his way down your neck.

"Fuck! What are you doing to me?" He says as he pulls away from the wall and puts you on the bed. He hovers above you and slips his jacket off.

"I think I'm getting into that heart of yours." You say undoing your top.

There was a knock at the door. Coop flips you over quickly so you're on top and he pulls his gun and points at the door.

"Can we help you?" You yell out. Very out of breath.

"Just letting you know that hot water is only available for another hour before we shut it off. Good night." And off who ever that was went.

You look at Coop and laugh. He shuts you up quick with his hand shoved down your pants. You go to protest but he grabs your throat with his other hand. He kisses you hard. Your world spins as you enjoy this for awhile. He fingers you and you grip at his clothes but he shakes his head no.

"Please." You mutter and he shakes his head no as he feels you clench around his fingers. He smirks.

He pulls his hands away from you and nods at his bag. You get dressed and grab his bag. You hand it to him.

He pulls out a knife with a very sharp blade and the initials LM on the handle. You sigh and put it in your holster. "Even though I didn't know her, she seems like my mother at this point. Lost her as well." You say getting up to get a towel.

"Hey," Coop grabs your hand, "I knew Lee. She would have been there to help you." He coughs and you know what that means. He gets up and grabs a towel as well. "Let's get this nasty sand off you.
