Part 6

Taehyung was feeling a bit better but his fever hadn't gone down. When he felt better, he got up and start working on his laptop for the office. Y/n was taking a shower in her room at that time. When she came out and didn't see Taehyung, she got worried. She went straight to Taehyung's room and saw him working on his laptop. She got angry again and said, "Just work, work, work! I know work is the most important thing for you but you're not completely well yet. At least think about how you'll manage if you're not fully recovered, tell me!" Taehyung just looked at y/n with a confused look and then said, "no it's okay... I'll take rest in between work, don't worry." Y/n was shocked because Taehyung's tone had softened and she requested him softly, "but still, please rest for a while and then work later." Taehyung hummed in response and told y/n, "I'll rest in my room... you can go now." With that, y/n left the room. Y/n brought fever pills and asked Taehyung to take them, and Taehyung was doing whatever y/n was asking him to do. Then y/n went downstairs to work, and Taehyung stayed in his room. But Taehyung lied to y/n that he would rest, in fact the moment y/n went downstairs, he turned on his laptop again and started working despite his fever. Y/n prepares breakfast for Taehyung and knocks on his room door. She enters and says, "Finish everything, I'll come to check!" Upon hearing this, Taehyung starts eating and puts the empty plate on the table. Y/n takes the plate from Taehyung's room and says, "Thank you for listening to me" before leaving. Whenever Taehyung hears y/n's footsteps, he quickly closes his laptop and doesn't let y/n know that he's not resting. Taehyung himself doesn't know why he does this, he just wants to show y/n that he's following her advice. This time, Taehyung was working on his laptop, but his fever suddenly worsened, and he decided to actually rest. Y/n comes to check on Taehyung after household chores and sees that he's sleeping. She gently wakes him up, checks his fever, and gets worried when she sees it's high.

Then Y/n says, "Taking these pills won't reduce your fever. I've called the doctor, they'll be here soon." Taehyung hums as he couldn't say anything. After a while, the doctor arrives and examines Taehyung, gave him some pills and said, "He needs to take rest. Wasn't he resting?" Y/n replied, "No, he was actually resting." But gets interrupted by the doctor and says, "But if you had rested, the fever wouldn't have been so high." Y/N gives Taehyung a pissed look, as if he lied. Then Y/N greets the doctor and he went. Y/N enters Taehyung's room and starts soaking him with cold water again. That's when Taehyung asked, "Aren't you angry?" , Y/N replies while soaking him, "Look, you're not hurting me, you're hurting yourself... You didn't take rest and now you're facing the consequences... Can you even focus on your work right now? Forget it, can you even do anything at all? No, look at how exhausted you are, you should give yourself some rest." Taehyung listens carefully to Y/N's words and asks, "Why are you doing all this? When you had a fever, I didn't do this, but now that I'm sick, why are you-" Y/N interrupts and says, "Even if you take care of me or not, I will always take care of you... Because I married you, it's my responsibility and I fulfill it well. Even if you mean nothing to me, I still do this for the sake of humanity." With that, she left the room,Taehyung gulped and slowly began to regret how he treated Y/N, how he behaved so coldly towards her and today, Y/N is the one taking care of him, without sleeping or eating properly ,takes care of all the household chores, cooks for him, and looks after him. And what has Taehyung done for her? Thinking about all this and the sudden realization was enough to drive him crazy with guilt.

Even though he couldn't rest well due to guilt, Taehyung took his pill and eventually fell asleep. As time passed, he slowly opened his eyes and saw Y/N by his side. She looked at him with caring and concerned eyes. "How are you feeling now?" Taehyung replied, "Much better." Y/N hummed in response and was about to leave when Taehyung grabbed her hands and said, "Please stay with me." Y/N was extremely confused and sat back down next to him. "Y/N, I need to talk to you." Y/N looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Y/N, I'm really sorry for everything I did to you. I know it's not worthy of forgiveness. I mistreated you so much, which I should have never done. I should have understood you at least. But I was late. But please, please forgive me." he said while sobbing. "Since I was a kid, my parents never talked to me. I grew up alone. They never treated me like you did. Neither in school nor in higher studies did I make friends because I always hurt someone with my cold behavior and with my own words. Out of fear, I never talked to anyone and just focused on my profession. And with you, I did the same thing I was afraid of , I hurt you. Trust me, Y/N, I don't want to hurt anyone, but I don't know w-what to do. I can't do this anymore, i m s-sorry but i-i need you y/n." With that, Taehyung couldn't hold back his emotions and hugged Y/N tightly, and started crying uncontrollably. Y/n hugged him back and tears fell from her eyes too , she didn't utter a single word but she comforted him for some time by patting his head. She stood up and said to Taehyung, "I don't know if you deserve to be forgiven, but regret is the biggest lesson of all. So I have to think bout this but don't think that i have forgiven you" By saying this he walked towards Taehyung's wardrobe to open it and get warm and comfy clothes for him. But before she could do that, Taehyung remembered that he had kept the divorce papers there and he quickly said, "N-no, please don't open it -" before he says, she already opened it and
