"Whatcha eating?"

Eliot almost fell off his seat as Alice suddenly made her presence known, wearing one of her bartender uniforms but this time without the vest.

"Oh—uh, you want some?"

"No thanks, not really hungry..."

Alice said as she went ahead and looked at some of the pictures on the wall.

"Hey, I'll have to go out for a while. I have to um....meet someone for a bit. Won't be long"

"Oh yeah, yeah sure I'll tell Five that, um stay safe..."

Alice had a feeling that Elliot still felt guilty about the time when she first got here, she stopped her tracks to the door and turned to Elliot.

"Hey, Elliot, could you not tell Five about that night? I'll tell him soon, just...not right now"

Alice saw Elliot nod, and that was her cue to exit out the apartment.

"So, you're saying...I might not even see you again?"

Autumn said as she sat on the bed and looked down on the floor in thought as Alice just told her that she might not come back ever again. Alice sighed sadly and sat next to Autumn.

"I know...I know it might seem sudden and I'm sorry for that. And it's hard to explain but-"

"No need to explain dear"

Autumn said as she held Alice's hands in a comforting manner.

"You know , you've always had that look in your eyes Alice—like you were missing something—missing someone. And, when you first told me that the guy you've been staring at the window, waiting for in the alley came back—it's like your eyes gained hope again. So I can understand why you would want to do whatever it is you need to leave for. "

Alice smiled thankfully at Autumn for understanding and hugged her one last time.

"I've always wanted a big sister, thank you for letting me experience that Autumn..."

Autumn smiled as she patted Alice's head and hugged back.

"I'm glad I could fill some gaps in your heart Alice"

Alice, after making amends with Autumn, was about to be on her way back to Elliot's. But on her way there she saw a very familiar blue glow from the corner of her eye.

And after seeing a very familiar policeman walking by the car she connected the dots and assumed it was Diego and Lila's car. A faint sound of Five's voice beckoning the officer was heard by Alice as she was walking up to the car.

Alice was about to go up and come along for the ride back to Elliot's until she had an idea

'Wait, what if I knock out Elliot before they get there. Would save them the trouble of getting threatened by some conspiracy theorist'

Alice thought as she took a shortcut she knew and went ahead and walked to Elliot's.

Alice quietly opened the door to Elliot's and looked around for any sign of him. Surprisingly, the place was quiet—maybe too quiet.

'Did I perhaps come in too early? But I thought he would-'

Alice's train of thought was cut off as she felt the end of a gun behind her back.

"You move and I swear, I will blow your heart out."

"Elliot, I know you wouldn't wanna do this. And, we can explain if you would just-"

Alice swiftly ducked as Elliot fired the gun, the bullet grazing her upper arm as it hit the wall. Alice kicked him in the shin and as he lost his balance, she kicked the gun far from Elliot.

"Damn, why is it that my favorite shirts get ruined?"

Alice groaned out as she kicked Elliot in the face, leaving him unconscious for a while.

"Sorry bud, but that's enough gun firing for you today-"

"Jesus, Alice are you okay?!"

Alice turned around as she saw Five go up to her and inspect her bleeding shoulder.

"What happened?! Your bleeding and Eli—did he do this?!"

Alice blinked, she's never seen Five this frantic over someone before.

"Oh, this is nothing—Elliot just went into a conspiracy frenzy and fired a gun clumsily. I just got grazed by the bullet, it's not that deep don't worry—I'll patch it up later."

Alice assured him, all the while putting some pressure on her shoulder. Five was about to protest as he was about to touch her shoulder. What surprised him and Alice is that Alice flinched away.

'What am I doing? No, why did I do that?'

Alice thought, but she quickly changed the awkward atmosphere as she excused herself to treat her wound.

"The film is on the table, you can start it up if you want to, I-I'll just patch this up real quick..."

Alice quickly went to the closet room and left Five wondering, just what had happened to her in this timeline?
