"HEY, SOMEONE CALL THE COPS AND AN AMBULANCE!"

Everything hurts

"Is this that Tsuyuri girl? The one from UA?"

It's too loud...

" Tsuyuri san? Can you hear me?"

Blinking lights. Red and blue. People shouting.

Hanako blinked dazedly. Her vision was so blurry that people simply looked like blobs.

Her body felt really light.... she felt something gurgling in my stomach.

"Bleghhhh...."

"Quick! Turn her on her side!"

Oh crap...I'm blacking out again....

Hanako didn't really know what she felt when she woke up.

She simply found herself in a weird-smelling room in a hospital gown. She sat up and looked at the nearby window.

The sun was glaring at her, so she shielded her eyes with her hand.

It's too bright....My head hurts.

Just when she thought about ringing for the nurse, one of them popped right into the room.

A look of surprise crossed her face before it was replaced by urgency. She immediately went up to Hanako's bed and said, "Tsuyuri san! Thank goodness that you're awake. You've been here for more than 14 hours!"

That long already?

She questioned, "How are you feeling? Any dizziness?"

Hanako rubbed her head and frowned.

"A little..." she said, much softer than intended.

The nurse asked a couple more questions, and Hanako answered as shortly as possible.

Just as she was asking her about trying to wriggle her toes, Hanako heard the sound of the door sliding open.

A doctor came in. When he saw her awake, he said, "Perfect timing! It is good that you're awake, Tsuyuri. Someone is here to see you."

Hanako stared warily at him.

"Who?...."

"A detective from the police department." He answered. "Would you like to see him now? Or should I tell him that you're still recovering?"

Hanako hummed. The detective being here would mean that he wanted to talk about...the incident. She would really not like to talk about that right now, but...she would have to do so sooner or later.
