"Hon, stay away from there." Dominic called anxiously and tried to make Elliam stay away from the cliff. They were on their way to the farm that Dominic promised his wife, when Elliam suddenly stopped Dominic from driving when they passed through a beautiful landscape.
Elliam stepped out of their car to take pictures and watch the enormous mountains. He was so immersed from the view that he didn't notice he was getting closer to the cliff which made Dominic's heart skip a beat.
"It's so beautiful, Dominic." Elliam happily said while letting his husband drag him away. He put his cellphone down to enjoy the scenery with his own eyes. Elliam was happy until he realized something.
He turned to Dominic with a scowl, "If you knew there's a place like this, you should have stopped the car and didn't wait for me to say it." Elliam said with his pouted lips. He crossed his arms on his chest and humped in front of his husband. Dominic was stunned with the sprout's sudden change of mood. He's guessing it's because of the pregnancy.
Instead of getting angry, Dominic just hugs his wife from behind and rubbed his flat stomach to make his unborn child stop giving their dad a bad temper.
"I'm sorry. I was planning to show it to you when we're going back since you can watch the sunset on that part of the mountain." Dominic said and pointed at the said mountain.
Elliam looked up to his husband and finally smiled. "Really!?, Then we should hurry to the farm so we can go back in time for the sunset."
He pushed his husband's body towards their car. Dominic let himself get pushed. Besides, he wasn't actually being pushed since Elliam's strength isn't strong enough to move him from where he's standing. He's just moving along with Elliam so the little sprout won't get mad again. Dominic didn't forget to open the door of the passenger seat and let his wife get in carefully. After closing the door on Elliam's side, Dominic went towards the driver's seat. He turned his head towards Elliam to see if he was wearing his seatbelt, after seeing that he was wearing it, Dominic started the engine.
The farm the Dominic refers to is an old farm owned by an old couple that once served their family when he was just a child. They're both good servants in the old mansion that his grandfather was fond of, too bad they retired early to start their own lives, and live peacefully far from the bustling streets.
Dominic hopes that the old couple could still recognize him since he didn't give them prior notice of their arrival.
Dominic didn't drive that long to arrive at the farm. They stepped out of their car and looked around. Elliam was busy looking around at the vast area of greenery while Dominic guides him towards the house of the owners.
Elliam suddenly gasped while looking at something. "Dominic, look. There's horses. It's my first time seeing real horses." He happily said.
Elliam's giggles made Dominic raise the corner of his lips. This little guy is so innocent, he's happy just seeing a horse. "Do you want to ride one?" He asked.
"Can I?" Elliam's eyes were sparkling.
"Well, we have to ask Dr. Lewis if it's safe for you." Dominic said. Although he wanted to keep Elliam happy, his health still comes first. Elliam's face dropped after hearing his husband, but since it's actually safe to ask a Doctor first, Elliam didn't pry anymore.
"Let's ask now, Dom." Elliam couldn't help but ask. He don't think he can wait until later.
Instead of answering Elliam and giving in to what he wants, Dominic kissed his wife's pouting lips and said no. They arrived at a simple house. While Dominic went to the door to knock, Elliam went towards the stable of horses. If he can't ride them, at least let him see those horses up close.
When the door opened,. what welcomed Dominic is an older version of the couple that he once sees in the old mansion. It was Martha and James. Dominic happily smiled at the couple but didn't introduced himself, Instead he waited until one of them recognize him. Martha was the first to remember Dominic's face. She was happy and immediately gave the man a hug. She was once one of the nannies of Dominic in the old mansion. James then looked at his wife and Dominic a little puzzled.
"James? You can't even recognize the little master?" Martha unbelievably said to her husband.
Only then did James remembered Dominic. He was ecstatic to see the little boy before was a grown up now. "Ahh, It's Dominic. How are you, my boy." James came to hug Dominic.
"I'm alright, Sir James." Dominic said while returning the hug to James. He calls him sir since James was their family butler before.
Being called sir brings back memories to James and he teared up. "Haha, only you now calls me sir. By the way, did you came alone?"
Dominic turned to Elliam but the sprout isn't behind him. Dominic immediately looked around to look for Elliam.
"Ellie!?" Dominic worriedly called. Martha and James also went outside to help look for Dominic's companion.
Dominic fetched his phone from his pocket to give his wife a call but it's unattended. Dominic almost cursed when he caught a glimpse of Elliam on the stable.
Dominic let out a sigh. He was about to walk towards Elliam when he noticed another person standing beside his wife. He couldn't see that person because they're wearing a straw hat that covered their face.
"Who was that?" Dominic asked Martha beside him. Elliam seems having fun exchanging words with that person.
"Ahh, T-that was a worker in the stables. She's been with us for months so you don't have to worry. Is the little guy beside her your companion?" Martha replied.
"Yeah, his name's Elliam, he's my wife." Dominic blurted out without hesitation. Both Martha and James unbelievably turned their heads to Dominic.
'This man is really something else'. They both thought.
Martha was the first to recover from that shock and invited Dominic for a tea inside the house. Dominic was hesitant because he can't just leave Elliam outside. But with Martha and James's persuasion, Dominic agreed.
Before getting inside, Dominic called his wife and yelled out, "Ellie! I'll be inside, alright?"
Elliam heard his husband's loud voice and waved at him. "Okay!" He simply replied. The woman beside Elliam got froze on her place. She have always doubt their relationship since hearing about Dominic's marriage. She came to see what kind of person he married into. To see if he's good for Dominic or not.
Because if not, she'll find ways to expose his ill intention and make him break up with Dominic.
