TW: Hostage situation, Bakugou, and whatever the Sludge Villain is doing
<:3O~

I had decided to go on a walk after a few more days of only doing my writing classes. I needed the exercise, and a way to clear my thoughts other than mindlessly watching a block game.

I didn't have any single destination in mind, as I had just wanted to wander, and I could find my own way back with my phone.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I saw a notebook floating in water. I quickly picked it up and gently waved it to try and dry it. Of course I recognized it, and I recognized the koi pond it was in. Looks like the middle school arc hasn't finished yet.

Curiousity filled my mind, causing me to open the book. Lots and lots of detailed notes about heroes. What their quirks are, their fighting styles, weaknesses, all that.

Hmm... as much as I want to let things continue as they should, maybe I can stop the entire war from happening, just by pushing one domino..

I looked around, and sure enough I found the kid I was looking for. He was looking for the notebook, while also being stuck in his thoughts as well.

"Hey, lost something?" I called out, holding up the soaked notebook so he could see.

"Found it in the pond, so it's a bit damaged by water." I say as I handed it to him.

"Thank you so much! I- accidentally dropped it out the window and didn't realize where it would land!" He exclaims as he bows several times.

"No problem. You have some pretty neat notes in there, must really love heroes, huh?" I hummed knowingly.

He rapidly nodded his head.

"Well, then I also assume that you don't want anything bad to happen to the heroes you fanboy over. You're lucky I'm just a civilian, and not a villain who would definitely have tried to use your notes for nefarious purposes. Maybe make your own code or cypher, and encrypt all notes you have on the heroes." I suggest, making his eyes go wide at the thought.

"And if you want to be a hero, which I'm assuming you do because what kid doesn't, why don't you also make notes on villains? Knowing about the enemy can give you the advantage in a battle, and if two different villains have many similarities then what works for one may just be able to work on the other. Make sense?" I added, watching him absorb this information.

He then looks back up to me and speaks. "You don't seem like a normal civilian, most people don't talk like that." He then realizes what he says, and freaks out a bit. "Not that the way you talk is weird or anything! You just seem.." he trails off, trying to find the word.

I chuckled. "I'm just in the grey area about things. I don't like to look at things as black and white, like villains as bad and heroes as good. In the end, we're all just people. Different paths we may lead, it doesn't change that there is a reason behind every action. A reason behind every move and step. Sometimes it that there seems like no other way. Other times it brings joy that nothing else does. How you interpret that will change your perception on the world." I wisely say.

Before Midoriya could speak, I put a hand up.

"You should probably get going, wouldn't want to worry your family because you didn't return home at your normal time." I remind him, making him realize he should be getting home.

"R-right! Thank you again for getting my notebook out of the water." He bowed one more time, before running off.

Hopefully that whole speech doesn't make him late for the sludge villain. And hopefully he's still given the option of receiving All Might's quirk. Whatever happens next is up to him now. I should probably stop staring at the direction he went in and keep going.
