Chapter 1

Molly walks into the mess hall her blond half shaved head of hair falling over her shoulder at about chest length. Her left arm covered by sleeve of tattoos in her camo t-shirt and pants, tan work boots. She sits down at a table alone and pulls out her notebook and pen while the other marines get lunch she draws. She glares at the men as they walk by talking about her a lot of people think she is only here because her dad is a surgent when really her dad hates her.

" Molly " someone calls out to her it is Jake walking to sit next to her.

" You know if we are still trying to keep our relationship down low yelling my name and then coming to sit with me is not the best idea."       

" Have you eaten yet."

" No, I'm not hungry."

" Baby you should eat we have a long day did you eat this morning."

" No, I was busy, and you should probably call me baby out here someone could hear you."

" Ok well Molly... you need to eat."

" I'm fine you go grab food before its gone."

He gets up and grabs two plates of food paces one Infront of her and replaces the book in her hand for a fork. All she does is roll her eyes and sick the fork in her eggs eating them slowly looking to be lost in thought.

" Hey what's wrong."

" Nothing I'm just tired I didn't sleep well I normally don't when you aren't with me at base."

" I can ask if can stay at base tonight and someone else can take night duty."

" No, It's fine."

" Aww but I want to sleep with you it feels like I never get to see you."

She rests her head on his shoulder holding his hand under the table.

" What happened to laying low." he asks with a smirk.

" Sully, I will slap you."

" Well, that's rude."

" Aww did I hurt your fwellings."

" Yes, I am very much hurt."

 " Well, I have to go shooting training."

She looked round too see no one was watching and gave him a kiss god he loved her even if she didn't see it some days. He knew she was scared living in war fighting in it every week not knowing how long she had left. They both had a war stimulation later ware they would act out war so they would ready. robots would shoot at them with fake bullets, and they could not get hit or they would have to do it again.

She got her gun and walked out she was the last one to go she normally she could do these drills with her eyes closed. But today she was off she got out there and panicked she dove behind a bord to block the bullets. Breathing rapidly hands shaking so bad she could not load her gun trying to get the bullets in the gun.

" Molly calm yourself!" her friend yelled she was the only one who knew about her and jake.

" Breathe Molly" Jake yelled to her.

she looks around to see where the robot was then tried to load her gun shaking badly Jake knew she was having a panic attack but couldn't help her. She finally loaded her gun and took aim but before she shot the robot got her first.

" And your dead give me the gun your done for today go sleep I expect better from you." her dad said.           

 " Yes sir." with her head hung low.     

Her friend mouth It's ok to her and with that Molly took off to her room took off her camo button up shirt with a white tank top. With scars on her shoulder blades from passed battles in the war Jake wasn't far behind her siting on her bed next to her. 

" Do you want to talk about it?"

" About what I'm fine." she says with an annoyed tone

" Ok..."

She took off her boots tossing them to the side flopping back on her bed and sighed.

" I don't know what happened I can do those dills with my eyes closed."

He lied down beside her. " I saw your panic attack are your nervous about us shipping out?"     

" I'm always scared Jake were solders we could die at any day now."  

He rolled over to face her his shoulder length dark brown hair and blue eyes she rolled to face him.

" It's ok to be scared I'm not the most comfortable idea ether."

" But why now I've been in wars before I have the scars to prove it." 

" I mean I've never been with a girl that is fighting in the same war as me that is why I'm nervous about."

" How do I come into you being scared?"

" Because I could lose you then on top of that not saving you when I could have."

She cuddled into his chest, and they fell asleep like that it was the best sleep she had in a while she loved him. She knew there was a chance they wouldn't get home but war brought her to him. The next morning, they were woken up by the alarms going off her worst nightmare was coming true they were under attack. They shot out of bed got dressed and ran as fast as they could down the hall where the other soldiers were grabbing guns and billets.
