GOING GOING GONE
09x01

~

Calais stood in the halls of Seattle Grace Mercy West. This time, instead of being there as a patient, she is there as an intern.

After med school, Calais got matched to Seattle Grace and she didn't know whether to be excited or mortified.

She had grown up in the exact hospital that she is now suppose to work at and almost all the doctors that work there know Calais due to spending a significant amount of time there since she was born.

Sure, she's glad she gets to work with people she knows but they all know things about her that she'd rather keep to herself because she doesn't like that part of her.

"Steph, Cal, I need a favour." Jo breathed out, snapping Calais out of her thoughts.

"I'll do your scut for a week, two weeks, and before you say no, i just want to say that you both look really pretty today." She added.

Calais and Stephanie shared a look and chuckled.

"And, Steph, you're the most talented intern in our class, Calais, you're the most smartest intern in our class, and i'm in no way trying to butter you up so you don't say no." Jo rambled.

"No." Calais and Stephanie chorused.

"You don't even know what i'm asking youse yet." Jo said.

"Yes we do." Calais scoffed.

"I'm not going anywhere near Medusa for you. I wanna live, so i'll say it again... No." Stephanie said.

"Calais, please?" Jo pouted, sending her best puppy dog eyes.

"Nope. You only need to give her the labs and she'll ask you some questions then tell you to go to the pit and not kill anyone." Calais said.

The three interns came to a stop when they saw Meredith and Bailey at a nurses station in the lobby.

"Nothing to be scared of. She's just an attending. We only call her Medusa, because..." Jo paused.

"Because she's a monster of mythic proportions." Stephanie finished for her before running away.

"Just go give them to her or i'll drag you over there myself." Calais said, sending Jo a smile when she glared at her.

Calais stood to the side and watched the interaction, giggling when Jo's voice quavered and when she gasped in relief after walking away.

Calais sat next to Stephanie in the cafeteria with the other interns.

"I'm screwed. As long as Medusa's my attending, i will never see the inside of an OR." Jo complained.

"Unless you're the patient." Shane muttered.

"Oh." Jo chucked, eating a chip.

"She not that bad, you just have to give her a chance, let her warm up to you a little." Calais said, pushing her food around on her plate.
