Guess who's back, back again. ImInThePJOFandom's back, tell a friend.
(Please enjoy this chapter I worked so hard on this)
"What made us join the hunt?"
After young Annabeth's relentless question-asking earlier, past Thalia Grace assumed she was okay to ask a few of her own. "And how was I freed from being a tree?"
"I know the answers to both of those questions, but I legit cannot tell you them," future Thalia said, giving a pointed look to her father.
Meanwhile, past Jason Grace was looking at his future sister with confusion. He could have sworn he had met her before.
"Do I know you?" past Jason asked suddenly.
Future Thalia turned to face her baby brother. Her face softened a little as she answered. "Maybe."
"That's not really an ans—"
"Did you think you were going to get one?" future Thalia quipped. Past Jason looked away in response.
"Well, that's that. Who's next to join us?" future Thalia questioned.
"You'll see," Apollo replied as he created a new portal.
Out of the purple void came a lean blonde girl with intense stormy gray eyes. Her hair was up in a high ponytail, and she was wearing a faded Camp Half-Blood t-shirt with jean shorts.
"Wow, after the first hour I didn't really think they were going to go through with this, but here we are," she remarked.
The future's all barked out a laugh.
"I said like the same thing when I arrived!" Thalia told Annabeth.
"Great minds think alike."
"Who are you?" Luke Castellan asked.
Future Annabeth went rigid for a second upon hearing Luke's voice, but quickly composed herself.
"I am Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, among many other things."
Luke and past Annabeth opened their mouths to say something, but future Piper beat them to it.
"How long have you been practicing that line?" she asked. It wasn't said in a teasing way, it was an honest question.
"About 30-ish minutes. I was getting bored and distracted while waiting for the portal to appear, so I started mentally preparing myself," future Annabeth replied.
Piper nodded. "Nice."
Past Annabeth—who wasn't confused by the exchange, it was herself after all—asked her future self some questions.
"What do you mean 'among other things'? Have we finally gone on a quest?"
"Yes, we have," future Annabeth answered.
"How come you answered that question when every other time I ask a question they say it will be answered later?"
"Because going on a quest is the starting point to the whole story."
Past Annabeth lit up with excitement. "Did you hear that Luke! I go on a really important quest that starts a whole story!"
Luke looked down to past Annabeth and smiled. "Yeah, I did."
Future Annabeth glared at Luke from her spot up on the makeshift stage. Past children in bright orange t-shirts looked at future Annabeth weirdly. Why was she glaring at Luke of all people?
Travis Stoll was the one who decided to voice his thoughts.
"Yo, future Annabeth," Travis Stoll hollered from his seat in the back, "why are you glaring at Luke?"
"No particular reason," future Annabeth replied curtly.
"Yeah, 'cause there's multiple reasons," Nico muttered, making Will—who was holding Nico's hand—snort.
The couple earned a few odd glances from their short exchange, but nothing of importance came of it. The important part came from something else. That something else was past Jason realizing where he knew Thalia from.
"You're my sister!" past Jason exclaimed, pointing to future Thalia. All of the past people looked at Jason in shock.
"It is you!" past Thalia exclaimed as she stood up. "I knew it was you!"
Thalia raced to her brother and hugged him tight. She suddenly pushed out of the embrace and started analyzing Jason's face.
"You still have the scar from when you tried to eat a stapler when you were two!"
Future Leo busted out laughing. "I love that that's what Thalia says whenever you two reunite!"
"Shut up," future Jason said, his face burning with embarrassment.
Past Thalia gave her brother one last squeeze before freeing him from her embrace.
"Back to your seats!" Hera yelled.
"Here we go again," future Annabeth muttered, clearly annoyed by everyone's least favorite goddess ruining the reunion scene.
Hera—who was purposely ignoring the future daughter of Athena—called for everyone to go back to their seats again.
"There's still more people that need to arrive!" was Hera's excuse she told the future demigods when they loured at her again.
Past Thalia and Jason eventually returned to their seats, and Hera clapped her hands.
"Wonderful! Apollo, dear, why don't you open the next portal?"
"Uh, sure, yeah," Apollo replied, giving his stepmom/aunt/cousin or something a weird look.
And out of that portal came a boy with half a goat in his pants.
Hi y'all!!! I'm sorry for being inactive for so long, but I'm back!! The update schedule is a little different though. I'll update every Friday at 6:00 pm EST instead of 2:30 pm EST.
Question of the chapter: If you could have any super power, what would yours be and why? Mine would be teleportation because of slow people.
