Luke:

I couldn't stop thinking about what Clarissa said. "I just wanna take pictures of you because you have really pretty eyes." Clarissa Hood liked my eyes! After we took the pictures I couldn't stop smiling. All I could think about was the fact that Claire liked my eyes. It wasn't really that special, I'd been told many times before that I had nice eyes, but the way she reacted after she said it gave me hope; her hand slapped over her mouth, as if she hadn't meant to say it out loud. It made me wonder if there were other thoughts in her head like that, things she would never want to admit out loud.

Maybe, just maybe, Claire loved me the way I wanted her to.

Clarissa and I were going through the pictures that we took. Wrapped up in multiple blankets seeing as it was cold out and Clarissa had gotten wet from laying in the moist, dewy grass. I'll admit, I looked nice in some of the pictures Clarissa took. She didn't delete any, though, and some of the were kind of embarrassing. One I was cross-eyed, another I had a creepy smile plastered on my face, another I had stuck two fingers in my mouth and stretched my lips. Long story short, I looked like an insane asylum escapee. Claire, though, said I looked absolutely perfect in all of them, which made me blush and smile, and then I kissed her cheek. Which, in turn, made her blush. I blushed like crazy whenever Claire complimented me, which she seemed to be doing a lot today. What was that about?

Ashton, Calum and Michael came into Clarissa's room, claiming that they were bored. Calum kissed Clarissa atop the head and she smiled. I noticed that Michael couldn't seem to take his eyes off Clarissa. She looked at him and his face noticeably brightened. They smiled at each other before Clarissa looked away. They had been acting oddly towards each other lately, which made my mind spiral in all different directions.

Ashton seemed to be the most bored out of all of us, which wasn't necessarily surprising. He always had to be doing something. He kept suggesting things to do, but was turned down.

"Can we go to the beach?"

"No."

"Can we go to the mall?"

"No."

"Can we go to the fair?"

"No-" Michael was cut off by Clarissa, who perked up at the mention of a fair. "There's a fair? Where is it? Can we go?!" I chuckled at her enthusiasm and Ashton looked triumphant at having someone take his suggestion seriously. Calum sighed and Micheal started to protest. I, on the other hand, would be happy to do anything with Clarissa, as long as she was happy. Ashton told us that the fair was in the next town over, about an hour away. Ashton knew that Clarissa loved road trips, and he knew that saying that would guarantee it; we were going on a hour long road trip.
