Do you feel the distance between us?
Do you feel me shift away?
Do you feel my silence?
The heavy words I dare not say?
I almost wish you do
That it torments you at night
I almost hope it steals your breath
Holding your lungs tight
Do you feel my push?
Do you feel my shove?
Do you feel the blaze of this bridge
As I light it up?
I almost hope you do not notice
Until it's up in flames
And reach out to touch it
And are shocked by searing pain
