The secret of the wand

Darby- part three

"Wow!" I said. I looked up and could see the sun going down.
        "Guys its getting late. Let's go and come back tomorrow," says Sarah.
       "Alright," Mack says. We walk up the stairs and the lanterns turn off. Mack turns the flashlight back on. She shines it up the rock we slid down. It is almost straight up. When I landed, I landed on my feet because it was so steep.
       " I did not think about going back up..." Says Mack in a hushed voice.
     "I don't know how were going to get out of here," says Bethany.             
     "What do you think we should do Darby?" Asks Talyn.
      "I... I don't know," I reply.
       "I have an idea!" Exclaimed Sarah.    
       "What?" Talyn and I say at the same time.
      " In the cave. Where the water was. There was a tunnel that leads to the ocean. What if we swim through it, and go to the ocean then swim back to shore?"
       "Great idea Sarah!" Says Talyn. Mack, Bethany, and I nod in agreement.
       I start to walk down the stairs as the lanterns turn back on. They turn on when someone is on the second step. My guess is that it turns on when there is movement and turns off when there is movement a second time. We get back to the pool and look at it.
       "Do y'all think that we could do it?" Asks Bethany.
      " I don't know. I can't see how far it is. It is also all underwater so we can not come up for air. The tunnel is long though. I can see coral and fish at the end of it. I don't know. Mack you took swimming right?" I said.
        "Yes I did. I can hold my breath for two minutes so I will see if I can do it if I can I will come back and tell you. If I can't I will come back and we will need another plan." Replied Mack.
       "let's all go in and watch her to make sure she is okay," said Sarah as she got into the water.
       "Ok," we all said. I got in next. The water was very warm. The water in the ocean is cold. It is really weird because it feels around 90*F. and is just really pretty. Like I do not know how to explain it. It is so pretty. It is clear and the sun light going down makes it sparkle.
            When we are all in, and Mack is about to go, I notice that the sun has completely gone down and the moon is above it.
       "Guys look at the moon," I say.
        " Wow  it is pretty. Goodbye," replies Mack.    
       "Bye be careful," says Sarah. " If you get light headed, come back do not keep going. I am sure we can find another way out of here if this fails,"
          " Ok don't worry I will be fine," replies Mack. Mack takes a deep breath and goes underwater. We say in silence, not knowing what to say. It hits me of how hungry I am. We skipped lunch because no one was hungry. Now it is late and I am craving some pizza, chips, or even fruit.
       "I am starving," says Sarah.
        "Me too," I say.
       "Me three," says Talyn. Bethany nods in agreement.
          " It has been one minute so far. Is she farther than half way?" Sarah asks.
            "I can't tell. it looks like it," I say. " OMG GUYS!!! MACK JUST DISAPPEARED!!!!! AND SHE WAS NOT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!!!!!" Screams Sarah. My heart starts to race as I look into the tunnel and Mack is not there.
