" I think that we should probably go back before our parents start to worry," says Sarah. I check my watch. " Oh my gosh it has only been 5 minutes!" I say. " It feels like it has been an hour!" says Darby. We all nod in agreement. We jump in the pool and Sarah says a spell to turn us into mermaids again. We swim together as fast as we can back to the restaurant. When we get out of the ocean we run inside. It took 2 minutes to get here. When we get inside we go sit down and start eating like nothing happened. I have the wand in my purse. " Where did you go?" asks my mom. " um ah just uh outside. We uh had to uh..." I say trying to think of something. " Oh what Mack means is that we were cold so we went outside to warm up for a minute and we saw one of our friends from school and we were saying hey," Sarah says. " Yeah that,'' I say smiling looking down at my food.
