Days Ago in Mystic Falls, Virginia

"Well, now, that is interesting."

A man with blond hair leaned forward, hand supporting his bearded chin as he observed from a distance, ear opened towards the conversations at a distance.

"That is a dead girl walking, if I'm not mistaken. Literally. The nosey teenage Mystic Falls gang clearly figured something out to bring her back to the living." Green eyes instantly drew towards the Bennett witch. "Yeah, that's an obvious guess..."

"Klaus isn't going to be happy when we tell him. Besides, if we don't want any conflict, Aelfric, we have to inform him." A voice spoke beside him, sipping from their cup, observing as she finished taking quick photos from a distance. The male peaked over her shoulder to peer into the screen and nodded, approving the quality and perspective.

"You've got an eye," Aelfric complimented and then smirked widely. "For an undercover stalker."

Hazel eyes glared.

"Hey, what should I do with these? I've got—" she scrolled through, counting. "A new bunch, a lot, to download and send to the creeper..." At that, she sneered. "Ugh, he should be here doing this, not us. I feel dirty stalking her...and taking photos." A grimace covered her dark complexion, hazel eyes looking over the images in thought. "I'll send the ones with her to Klaus, including the doppelgänger."

"No, send the ones with the doppelgänger to me. I'll take care of this; needless to say, this will need some smoothing over." Aelfric suggested, and most definitely not looking forward to the backlash this will gain.

Then again, this will be a fun opportunity to check in on the old Hybrid and his Ripper buddy. "The last thing we need is him going on a rampage cause his doppelgänger sacrifice isn't dead-dead as he wanted her."

A fine dark brow raised, looking at him with disbelief. "You? You're going to smooth this over? With the Original Hybrid? Good luck, then, Aelf?"

Aelfric chuckled, "I'll be fine, Rain. We go way back." He shifts, ordering a new refill of his drink. "His behavior is nothing new; Krampus is a stalker, particularly of those he fancies — perhaps, all Mikaelsons do." He looks to the witch in thought, "Continue keeping an eye out on her and wherever she goes. Something tells me we're in the calm before the long world-shattering storm."

With a sigh, Rain nodded. She eyed him closely, squinting. "You're actually excited?"

Aelfric gave a huge mischievous grin.

The young witch groaned, rolling her hazel eyes. "Of course, you are. You're crazy."

"Eh," Aelfric shrugged indifferently. Rain stared at him with a frown.

"Aelf, we're not his personal secret service. We're here for her for our own purposes. Besides, we do not work for him." She scoffed. "Yet, he certainly acts like it. I hate that we have to work with him."

Aelfric gives her a look, warning her. "Careful, that attitude around him will get you killed."

The witch, Rain, grumbled. "He demands and expects us to comply, including our respect. It's really annoying, Aelf."

The blond snorted. "Yeah, that's Klaus for you." He was finding the whole situation amusing. "Don't let it get to you. Once he's with her, we will establish our boundaries — not that he'll really listen much to them, but we will not assist in his stalking habits."

Rain gives him a dubious look. Chuckling, he responds. "Anymore."

"But," he continues, leaning back and sipping his drink. "Back to the subject; perhaps, Krampus' curse is broken, regardless if the doppel-drink lives. Could be as simple as that." He shrugged.
